This 1998 Mustang has been a very good car to me and I hate to see it go but with the economy the way it is I must get rid of it. This car needs nothing except a little cleaning. I hope to have it clean for the next owner. It has everything it came with from the showroom floor. I have owned it since 1999 and it had 19,000 miles. Now it has 76,000 and a few trips to Florida and has only had Tires, brakes, battery and a serpentine belt replaced. The belt was replaced at the recommended 50,000 mile interval. Oil and filter has been changed every 3,000 miles. Everything works like new. Set the cruise at 69 mph on the interstate and you will enjoy 35 mpg! It averages about 24 in town driving. AC is ice cold. Uses no oil and no leaks of any fluid. It was in a fender bender one time and was still drivable but it needed a new right front fender. The driver seat leather is showing a little wear from getting in and out but the rest of the seats are like new. The carpet has a few dirt stains and will clean up with shampoo. No holes, rips or tears. Engine and 5-speed manual transmission work perfectly! The headlight lens are getting foggy and could use a buffing. Tires are 90% tread and only one year old. Kelly Blue Book says this car would sell for $6395.00 on a lot. This would be a great first car for a new driver. ( remember it is a stick) If you have questions please ask. Car can be driven anywhere you need to go. Local pickup only, I cannot deliver. $500.00 deposit by PayPal required in 3 days of sale. Balance due at pickup. I prefer cash or PayPal. It might not be called the GT or even use the coupe's retro look, but rumors point to such a beast being on the way. If the future halo model can inspire as much adoration among fans as the previous ones, then the Blue Oval is sure to have another winner on its hands. To get idea just how closely GT owners are bonded to their cars, take a ride with the participants in the ninth Ford GT National Rally in this short documentary titled Dust Devils. The owners convened with over 80 of the retro supercars in Las Vegas, NV, to admire the coupes and give them a workout on the desert roads. It's especially nice to see the drivers of these limited production Fords unafraid to take their cars to the track and stretch their legs a little. Volvo, Kia and BYD duke it out in the finals for World Car of 2024
Mon, Feb 26 2024Three electric vehicles — none produced by an American manufacturer — will compete next month for the title of 2024 World Car of the Year, it was announced Monday. The finalists are the Kia EV9, the Volvo EX30 and the BYD Seal (shown above). The latter two are built in China. The three top finalists in five other categories were also named at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The winners in all six categories will be revealed live during an awards ceremony at the New York International Auto Show on March 27. This year marks the 20th year of the World Car Awards and the partnership with the New York show. Besides car of the year, the other finalists are: Electric vehicle: BMW i5, Kia EV9, Volvo EX30; Luxury car: BMW 5 Series/i5, Mercedes Benz E-Class, Mercedes Benz EQE SUV; Performance car: BMW M2, BMW XM, Hyundai Ionia 5 N; Urban car: BYD Dolphin, Lexus LBX, Volvo EX30; World Car Design: Ford Bronco, Ferrari Purosangue, Toyota Prius. Only Ford among U.S. companies has an entry in the final selections, and only in one category, design, for the Bronco. BMW has four vehicles in the finals, Volvo has three, Kia and Mercedes have two each. BYD from China has two entries as well. The Seal went on sale in in its home market in 2022 and is now available in most of the rest of the world. The BYD Co. (which stands for Build Your Dreams) has surpassed Tesla to become the worldÂ’s biggest maker of electric vehicles, and has its sights set on the U.S. The selection process for World Cars involves 100-plus automotive journalists from 29 countries who vote, as they review and test-drive the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards.
