This car is turn key right now but not completely finished. I have a 1988 mustang convertible 5.0. It had the 302 motor and the t5 5 speed tranny. The paint is pretty good . It does have some little dings and some little chips but its not bad. This is the 2v cleveland. I did a complete 351c 5.7 swap. The motor was built by Douglas machine in Gardnerville NV. the motor might have 20 miles on it. I dropped it in last year with fresh markings on the crank. The motor was $2200 to build I have a receipt for my purchase price of $1400.  It's 10 to 1 compression, baja beast moderate cam, keith black pistons, and stock 2v cleveland heads. The car is dirty its just been sitting in the garage but will clean when sold. the transmission is a built c4 with tranny pan  good for 700 horse with a tiji boy torque converter and a trans brake. It's a 3500 stall. The torque converter was $800 by itself. Tranny was about $3000 it is bullet proof. It has about 10 passes on the track in Fallon NV. has brand new 31 spline alloy axles. 411 gears with posi traction. The carb is a holley 800 cfm double pumper and is way too much carb for this car. It needs a nice new 650. This is the reason the car is not running 100%. It's a little sluggish and running too rich. The AC is deleted. The power steering pump is brand new and in the car but it is bypassed at the moment. Billet aluminum V groove pulleys. The shifting linkage is loose but it will still shift into gear and park but at times it's tough finding reverse. It just needs a little adjusting.  Inside the car there's a cluster gauge with the water temp and oil pressure. The water temp is not hooked up. This car does have a CD player that works. I have a custom made shifting bracket with a B&M pro stick shifter with a trans brake button and B&M shifter cable. There's a light up toggle switch to turn the trans brake on and off. Interior carpet and front seats are in good condition. The back seat has a seat cover and faded back rest. I also have the complete convertible top frame with hooks and latches. There's no material on the frame but I have a brand new canvas easy on top with glass window from Convertible Top Guys with receipt, strips and pads. I paid around $600 for it. I have extra convertible pump motors and cylinders to operate the top. Car has duel exhaust and flow masters 3in. all the way back. Hedders are long tube. Battery has been re-routed to the trunk and has the battery box. It has chrome cobra 18in rims with Nexus Tires with good tread. The fog lights don't work but all others(lights&signals) do. All new fittings in the gas tank to convert from fuel injection to carberated All new heavy duty fuel line. I've spent a lot of money on wires, hoses, fittings, seals and other small things for this vehicle. The car will need to be haul by trailer because it's not complete. The car has not been registered for a year and I have the title in hand. The car has a low reserve price. If you're serious about buying please send me a message with a phone number and we can talk more in depth about it. I can send you more pics that are better and can clean it up first. These are not the best.

Ford set to target pre-school market with next F-150 variant

Tue, Jun 17 2014

How do you build a strong group of loyalists from the next generation of American drivers? You start em' young. Ford has taken that lesson to heart, as we can see in the first batch of images of the company's new entry to the pre-school market, the Power Wheels F-150. This particular example was caught returning from testing around Ford's base of operations in Dearborn, MI – covered in tiny little bits of camouflage, too. Now, this could very well end up being a collaboration between Power Wheels and Ford. Then again, it could just be some bored engineers that decided to troll the local congregation of spy photographers, who earlier today captured images of the next Focus RS and SVT Mustang. Whatever it is, it's pretty darn cool. Take a look up top for images of the new Power Wheels F-150.

AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction

Sat, Sep 9 2023

Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics

2016 Ford Focus RS leaked ahead of official debut

Tue, Feb 3 2015

We won't officially see the new Ford Focus RS until the Blue Oval shows it to the world at an event on Tuesday, but here it is ahead of time, courtesy of the folks at Evo. As you can see, this is one hot little hatch, and if Evo's story is to be believed, those aggressive looks will be backed up with some pretty serious performance. Power is said to come from Ford's 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine, though the magazine's estimate of 250 horsepower seems awfully conservative to us (considering that's less than the current Focus ST). If earlier reports are to be believed, we think the RS will come packing more like 300 hp, if not more. For the first time, the Focus RS will use all-wheel drive with brake-operated torque-vectoring, and Evo says that up to 70 percent of the engine's power can be sent to the rear wheels. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take less than five seconds. Otherwise, it's business as usual, with a mean-looking exterior complete with the necessary aero bits (notice that wing!), and inside, we can see a beefy set of Recaro chairs. That's really all we know for now, but stay tuned for more when the Focus RS makes its official debut in the not-too-distant future. Related Video:
