----------------LOW RESERVE--------------

You are bidding on a 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback that has been in storage for several years ( about 10 ) .  It was pulled out of storage a few months ago, and now I am selling it on E-bay, because I would like the vehicle to be in the care of someone who can appreciate it more than I can, and give it the love and attention it deserves.  Sadly, I cannot give this car my full attention due to other responsibilities in my life.

I will be throwing in a Free Car Cover that is 1 month new.  There is one hole in the car cover for the antenna to stick through.
Also 1 Brand New ABC Fire Extinguisher will be given with the vehicle, as well as an old one that came with the car when I bought it.  The original A/C (Air conditioner) Unit will also be sent with the car, it is old. ( hence the reason why I believe it is original)  The California registration is current up to March 18, 2014.  I think it costs about $67 per year for registration.  The trunk contains an old, possibly original jack with lever, and spare tire.  There is also an old mustang leather fender cover for protecting your car from scratches when you work on it.  you will also be getting the car with a full tank of gas, and an empty gas can of about 2 gallon capacity.

I will be including several pictures, and videos can be seen on my youtube channel for as long as this auction is current, which will be about 1 week.

The battery was purchased brand new about 6-8 months ago.   The paint job on the car is in pretty good shape, but its not perfect. the driver and passenger leather seats are in pretty good shape, they were bought before the car was stored in 2002.  The engine is a 351 Windsor.  Most of the hardware on the top end of the engine if not all of it is in good condition, a top end rebuild was done before it was stored.

List of items that may need work:
*****The engine may require a tune up ( I honestly do not know since I am not a mechanic, but I did take the car to a certified mechanic a few days ago and he can give you more information on his opinion of the vehicle, his number is included at the bottom of this page, if you call them, ask about the red 1969 mustang that was brought in on july 5th.)
***Some minor leaks  ( from my observation the leaks are at a very low rate about 2-3 drops every 20-30 minutes, I was told by the mechanic that all old cars have this issue. )
****on the interior:
dashboard has cracks in the middle and needs replaced,
guages need work:speedometer adjusted, fuel gauge in-operable,
steering wheel needs to be rotated 90 degrees to make it look normal, it is off a bit right now should be a simple fix,
center console missing bracket, and screws should be a cheap and easy fix...see photos/video,
 the wood panel in front of the center console needs to be reglued/epoxied at the base...also see photo/video for this...;
clock is working, but time needs to be adjusted,
carpet near passenger seat needs to be fixed...slight gap about 1/2 and inch to 1 inch...see video titled: interior,
headliner behind driver seat needs to be finished, it never was although I had purchased it new back in 2002.
12 Disc Cd changer needs to be looked at, it does not seem to be ejecting as it should, this should be a minor fix...although with new technology you might want to get rid of it, and replace it with a smartphone connector.
trunk needs to be cleaned up, possibly new liners etc....see video entitled: trunk

letter "A" missing from the name mustang on the rear of car
minor scratches/chips throughout the car, again see photos/videos.
minor rust on wheels,
possibly rust under vehicle, ( was told by local mechanic that vehicle was solid body wise, again I am not a car person, so I am not sure what is good/bad etc, I would call it Average wear and tear for a 44 year old vehicle.)

If you have questions, contact me on Ebay, if you want to get specific answers on mechanical questions, please feel free to contact the mechanic shop I used on July 5th, information is below.  I have made every effort to make this as honest as possible, all I ask for is a fair price for the vehicle, whatever current market value is for the condition it is in.    All I ask is that you take a look at the photos and videos, if you like what you see, put in a bid, if not then thank you for your time.

I am not a very mechanically inclined person, but I did take this car in to a shop to fix an oil gasket leak this past week, and the mechanic stated that if anyone had any questions, he would be more than happy to explain things they wanted to know.  here is the information for the autoshop that I used, which was a very good place to go to if you need auto work done.

Thank you for looking at my auction.  Happy bidding.

Please note the following:  The tag on the dashboard reads VIN 9R02F105803  .  I checked the door tag and it reads a different number as follows:
9R01L150798---The only possible explanation that I have is that this is in-fact a warranty number, not the VIN number, based on a picture of the tag on this website : http://www.classicponycars.com/69data.html
the image shows a door tag and reads as follows
" warranty number, not for title or registration"

Here are the rest of the door tag codes;

BODY- 65A   Coupe w/ Standard Int., Buckets
COLOR- W    Meadowlark Yellow
interior trim- 2G   Ivy Gold, Standard Buckets
date code- 27B   Feb 27, 1969 manufacture date
DSO District Code- 71   Los Angeles
axle-   3  -  2.79:1 Standard Differential
trans-  W-  C-4 Automatic

 Thank you.

Ok, so I checked with the mechanic Nathan at Ken's Auto Repair, and he confirmed that his expert opinion is that the Engine is a 351.  While I was there I got a chance to put the car up on the lift, and get a cool video of the under part of the car which I am currently uploading to the youtube channel. [ it will be done in about 30 minutes, currently 1300 or 1PM PST]  .  Also I responded to a question but it did not get posted on here, so here it is for your information a clarification on the door tag codes VS a Marti Report for the Vehicle, which will be included in the sale when the vehicle ships.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello, I was looking through some papers and found that I had a copy a Marti Report already done. The door tags I have posted at the bottom of the link. The marti report will be included in the sale and will be sent along with the car. As far as the engine goes I will double check with the mechanic, but I was always under the impression that it was a 351. You are right though according to the VIN and marti report, the car was manufactured as a 302-2v Engine. I am thinking that somewhere along the line a previous owner converted the vehicle to a 351, that is the only explanation I can come up with at the moment. The Marti report differs from the tags in the following areas:
63A Mustang Sportsroof instead of BODY- 65A Coupe w/ Standard Int., Buckets
4A Black Clarion Knit Vinyl Hi-Back Bucket Seats instead of interior trim- 2G Ivy Gold, Standard Buckets
23J Scheduled for build: Septermber 23, 1968 instead of date code- 27B Feb 27, 1969 manufacture date
72 San Jose Ordering District instead of DSO District Code- 71 Los Angeles

On Jul-12-13 at 20:32:53 PDT, seller added the following information:

Again the questions and answers is not working properly so I am posting this information as a response to a question.

Good Day, I have some pictures of the top of the engine, and I think thanks to your questions we can finally put to rest once and for all that this is a 351W. The intake is an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap part number 7581. According to the website :
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-7581/applications/?prefilter=1
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-7581/

This part is designed for :
Make:FORD
Beginning Year:1969
Ending Year:1997
Engine Type:V8
Liter:5.8
CID:351
Engine Size:5.8L/351
Engine Family:Ford small block Windsor
Carburetor Mounting:4-barrel square bore
Cylinder Head Style (application):Windsor

So that should confirm that the engine is in fact a 351W for anyone that is asking, sorry about all the confusion, I really wish I would have spent more time as a kid working on cars VS playing sports and working, But I digress. If I recall correctly the car was purchased off of Ebay [Ironic because here it is again] around January of 2001. It was a daily driver for me to go to school and work, I took the best care that I could with the car, but once I graduated High School, I joined the Marine Corp, and the car stayed at home, where it got put into storage. Before it went into storage it had a some work done to it and paint done as well. The paint job is not the greatest or most expensive. There are some minor chips, and different areas that some effects of weathering can be seen, but that being said, I have a 2004 Car that has a worse paint job than the mustang, so overall it was pretty taken care of. The car does shine up pretty nice, which overall seems to take the attention away from any flaws it may have. Also the car seems pretty straight to me. Overall I would say the car will most likely need a new paint job, but I am a perfectionist. The car as it sits now paint job wise is in FAR better condition than when I received the car in 2001. The best I can tell I would call the paint job Average. attached is a photo of the engine and part number.

2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.

Ford updates Transit lineup for 2016

Fri, Jun 5 2015

We have a strange affection for vans here at Autoblog, perhaps due to all that free candy we ate as kids. So when Ford announces some minor updates to the Transit and Transit Connect, we deliver the news that every plumber, electrician, and airport shuttle driver across the nation (and Canada) needs. The biggest item for 2016 is an optional passenger side sliding door on medium- and high-roof models, improving access to the Transit's cavernous interior. Ford's rollout of the much-improved Sync 3 infotainment system also expands to the to large van. And a reverse backup camera is now standard across the lineup. The little Ford Transit Connect is also tweaked for the next model year, right after we spent some time in the 2015 version. Titanium trim on the long-wheelbase wagon model brings second row bucket seats that fold flat. With XLT trim, you can swap out a bench seat for the buckets at no extra charge. Read on the for the full press release. FORD TRANSIT, TRANSIT CONNECT AND TRANSIT CONNECT WAGON EVEN SMARTER, MORE FLEXIBLE FOR 2016 MODEL YEAR SYNC® 3, Ford's new communications and entertainment system, is available for 2016 Ford Transit – making America's best-selling van even smarter Ford Transit built more than 100,000 vehicles in the 2015 model year Ford Transit Connect compact commercial van equipped with 2.5-liter I-4 engine gains flex-fuel capability for 2016 DEARBORN, Mich., June 4, 2015 – America's best-selling van is even better for the 2016 model year, with the addition of available SYNC 3, rearview camera technology and new customization options. "These and other updates make the 2016 Ford Transit the smartest, most flexible van ever offered by Ford," says Yaro Hetman, Ford brand manager for Transit, Transit Connect and E-Series. "Transit replaces America's best-selling van for 35 years, E-Series, first sold in 1961 as Ford Econoline, and we look forward to continuing our leadership in this important segment." Transit quickly took over the best-selling commercial van title in November 2014, having been available beginning in June at U.S. and Canadian dealerships for the first time. Ford has produced more than 100,000 Transit vans and wagons at Kansas City Assembly Plant during the 2015 model year.

Galpin-Fisker Rocket shows up topless in Monterey

Sun, Aug 16 2015

The Rocket Coupe, introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, was a collaboration in reimagination carried out by designer Henrik Fisker and Galpin Auto Sports on a Ford Mustang. The next version of that concept has come to Pebble Beach in the metallic red form of the Rocket Speedster Concept you see here. In this guise the Mustang convertible gets a speedster tonneau cover that runs all the way to the front seat headrests, covering the back seats. As with the rest of the bodywork the cover is fashioned in carbon fiber, portions of it visible in places like the stripes running along the hood from the hexagonal grill to the tonneau, and the exposed carbon fiber air ducts that are mesh-filled to improve airflow through the cabin. And yes, it still has that nose. Underhood is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 725 horsepower, all that cavalry brought to a stop by 15-inch Brembo Gran Turismo brakes up front tucked behind 21-inch custom wheels. Although it is labeled a concept, it too will go into limited production like its hardtop forebear. The press release below has the info, the gallery above has the goods. (August 15, 2015) – Galpin Auto Sports and Henrik Fisker unveiled the latest iteration of the "Ultimate American Muscle Car" today at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance; the 2015 Rocket Speedster Concept. Following a short drive onto the legendary Pebble Beach Concept Lawn, Henrik Fisker and Galpin Motors President, Beau Boeckmann introduced the convertible carbon fiber-bodied super-Mustang, intended for low-volume production. The car was featured as one of only a few special designer cars in front the Lodge at Pebble Beach. Featuring a fully integrated carbon fiber speedster cover that transforms the four-seat convertible into a two-seat speedster, this new edition Rocket maintains exceptional visual drama and performance with the top up or down. As with the Rocket Coupe, the Concept carries a carbon fiber hood feeding air into the supercharged 725-hp V8 engine through two sculpted air intakes, aiding the grill and front splitter in maintaining optimal cooling and aerodynamics.
