I am the second owner of this car and have had it for only two months. I love these cars and this is truly a very desirable car.
I simply can no longer drive a manual transmission car any longer due to old age and a bad left knee. That is it, the only story.

In addition to the factory options this car has been fitted with a Griggs Performance Suspension Package which lowers the car
about an inch and gives it an aggressive stance. This car corners like it is on tracks and this system prevents the well known
Shelby Mustang wheel hop. It is the full suspension kit with front struts, rear coil over shocks , heavy duty control arms and Watts
link to keep the differential centered. This upgrade costs about $5K. There is a New set of Nitto Drag Radials in the rear. Front tires are about 75%.
The car has been bumped up to about 600 Horsepower by way of the Ford Racing Performance Parts

Here's what it's like to drive the very first Ford Mustang cop car

That's true whether you're talking about a modern Dodge Charger Pursuit or, yes, the legendary Ford Mustang SSP. Former Autoblog staffer and current Road and Track web editor Zach Bowman discovered this when he shanghaied a 2015 Mustang GT and made the trip to Nashville, TN to drive the very first Mustang SSP police car. The two-tone, V8-powered prototype was delivered into the welcoming arms of the California Highway Patrol back in 1981 for evaluation. Bowman chatted up cop-car aficionado Mike Strinich, the prototype's current owner, and managed to score some seat time in the car, which provided a unique interesting contrast to the SSP's 435-horsepower junior. Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?
Wed, 11 Dec 2013The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.
