You are bidding on a '27 Ford Model T Roadster Pickup built originally in the early '50's.  The body and bed are original with the bed modified to fit on an original '32 Ford boxed chassis.  The engine is a fresh (3,000 miles +/-) balanced  '48 Ford flathead V8 (276 Cubic Inches) with Isky cam, 4" crank, Ross pistons, Offenhauser heads, HD oil pump, Joe Hunt electronic "mag", Road Runner blower and Stromberg 97 carbs.  


The running gear is So Cal hair pins, dropped (chromed) front axle, steering dampener, disc brakes behind So Cal polished "Buick style" drums. Trans is a fresh C4 automatic coupled to a Ford 8" rear end.  Wheels are Vintique powder coated wires.  Tires are Coker.

The body and chassis are in excellent condition painted in PPG black primer (slight satin finish) with chopped '32 grill.  All instruments and lights work properly.  Interiour is black leather and Wilton wool carpet.  The front and rear tanks are cosmetic.  The gas tank (16 gallons) is in the rear. 

It saddens me to sell the truck.  It runs perfect, runs quick/cool and handles well -- no drama, no disappointments.   We have been on a number of Pasadena Roadster Club 100 mile rallies and it is a joy to drive.  Selling to make room for other acquisitions.

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars

The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.

Ford Recalling 70k Escape and Mariner Hybrids for cooling issue

Ford is recalling about 70,209 examples of the 2005-2008 Ford Escape Hybrid and the 2006-2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid because the cooling pumps for their hybrid systems could fail.
According to the company's defect notice, it's possible for the original "Motor Electronics Coolant (MEC) Pump" to wear out and fail, which would could cause the hybrid system to overheat. If this happens, the vehicle goes into a safety mode that takes away most or all of its power. However, braking and steering still operate normally. After cooling down, the affected models restart normally. The company says that it's not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this problem.
Ford will begin repairing the vehicles in late October, and dealers will be installing improved, brushless pumps on the affected models at no charge to owners. If drivers had their pumps fail before this recall, they can contact Ford for a possible reimbursement. Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang is a lean, mean, Z/28-fighting machine [w/video]

If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the renewed rivalry between the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro will never, ever cease. For every version of Ford's pony car, there's an equally potent Chevrolet. And so with the debut of the Camaro Z/28 earlier this year, Ford has responded with a track-focused 'Stang of its own, resurrecting the Shelby GT350 name.
It looks to be a fine piece of work, this Mustang, with power coming from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V8 that will produce "more than 500 horsepower" and "above 400" pound-feet of torque. That grunt runs to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, and a Torsen limited-slip differential keeps everything in line.
But that's hardly the most impressive piece of the GT350 puzzle. Ford has increased the Mustang GT's chassis stiffness for duty here in the Shelby, and the coupe employs MagneRide damping which automatically adjusts based on road conditions and driver inputs. It's a first both for the Blue Oval and for the segment. And speaking of firsts, the GT350 uses a flat-plane crankshaft - something Ford has never included in a production V8 before.
