1922 late, or perhaps 1923 early Model T Coupe.

This Model T Ford has been in a time warp in Modesto
California until I bought it last year and brought it to Nevada.

No one knows the last time it ran, but I would guess from
indications that perhaps it was before WWII that it was
parked.  The SW speedo shows 15,000 miles.

The transmission is what brought it to a stall.  It's broken.
Engine turns over fine.  Around the late 1960's some kids
took the motor apart and put most of the pieces in the trunk.

They lost interest, and it sat indoors until last year, and it
has been safe and dry indoors in nevada since then.

I spent a bunch of money on it!  Fresh radiator.  4 new tires
installed on sand blasted / repainted wheels.

I found a fresh rebuilt '26 motor that has a good usable
transmission.  Mechanically much of the work to get
this beautiful old survivor back on the road is done.

The interior is just the best on this car.  My plans for
this were to get it stabilized mechanically and wax up
the 80%+ original Henry black paint that's there, and
have some fun driving it.

This Model T does NOT have a title.  Common with
Model T's I think, and especially with ones that have
been sleeping as long as this one has.

So, my price is break even.  I hope through the different
photos that you will get infected with the
possibilities of this survivor and finish up what I started.

The dog is not included.  Neither is the old store and the
gas pump and the porcelain signs, and the model A motor
behind the model T.  Those are just to mess with your
mind :~'))

Folks have been asking for better pictures of
the interior and inside the trunk.  Here's 27 new
photographs to detail those areas.

Note that the steering column is removed in
anticipation of swapping motor / trans.

Also note new parts on front seat.  Wiring and a
new head gasket included.

2015 Ford Edge holds line on pricing, starts at $28,100*

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

The Ford Edge gets an updated platform, bolder styling and a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine pumping out 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque for the 2015 model year. You might expect that all those new features would result in a big price bump, but you'd be wrong. Ford is keeping costs identical to the 2014 model with a starting MSRP of $28,100 (*plus an $895 destination charge), according to Edmunds. Ford spokesperson William Mattiace confirmed the numbers to Autoblog.
That's a pretty good deal, but the real ticket here might be the model's Sport trim. Buyers get a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with over 300 horsepower and standard adaptive steering for $28,600 plus destination. That's just $500 more than the base model.
Pricing for the Titanium trim has not yet been announced, but it'll be a short wait to find out. Mattiace tells Autoblog that full pricing and the configuration for the model will launch on November 5. He has also confirmed that the 2015 Edge will begin hitting dealers in the first quarter of 2015.

Ford EV Chief: 150 kW fast charging could be the norm

Fri, May 1 2015

Ford's electrified-vehicle sales aren't exactly at the top of the charts this year, but that hasn't stopped Mike Tinskey, the automaker's global director of electrification and infrastructure, from being rather enthusiastic about advancements in various forms of more environmentally sustainable mobility. Tinskey, in an interview with The Verge, spoke of a world with really fast plug-in vehicle chargers. And of vehicles that can be re-parked using a remote driver. How fun. Tinskey, who touts SAE/combo fast-charging charging specification as the most likely to take the global leadership position, said a 150-kilowatt charger could be on the market "very soon." That'd mean an electric vehicle could be 80-percent recharged in just 20 minutes. Today's quickest units, the Tesla Supercharger, can crank out up to 120 kW. Some companies are touting 100-kW charging times, despite the lack of compatible chargers. Tinskey also spoke about Ford studies of a so-called "Remote Repositioning" feature, which would allow cars to be re-parked at night using a remote driver over a cellular network as spaces empty up, cutting down traffic, needless driving and pollution as a result. We're sure ready for such a thing. Through the first quarter of this year, sales of Ford's hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles are down 28 percent from a year earlier to about 15,000 units. Sounds like those improvements Tinskey speaks of can't come soon enough. Featured Gallery 2012 Ford Focus Electric: Quick Spin View 18 Photos News Source: The Verge Green Ford

Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
