Up for sale is a 1929 very nice custom in progress project. Acquired from a loan collateral and know only brief information on truck.
Known information: *327 Chevrolet engine w/ chrome dress up kit *9 inch ford rear end (narrowed) unknown gearing *Custom dark purple paint job with minor flaws (looks like candy) *Automatic transmission turbo 350 *BF Goodrich front tires 26x8.50-15LT (new) *BF Goodrich rear tires 29x15.50-15LT (new) *Center line convo pros rims (new) *New in box lakar billet sifter *New in box wire harness summit racing universal wire kit *New in box lakar classic sifter boot *New in box painless dakota digital entry system *Holley 4 barrel carburetor 600cfm manual choke *Aluminum fuel cell, looks like a 12gal *Strong sold custom frame *Detachable butterfly hinged engine side body cover *Chrome master cylinder, *Chrome plated firewall *Chrome manifolds *Chrome tilt out windshield *Good floor boards *No rust that I can find *Steel body *Electric fan *Tube chassy painted to match truck where exposed *Lots of misc. parts, door handles, turn signals, custom vintage mirrors, wiper motor, door window elevators (see pics) Everything on this custom truck is described to the best of my knowledge. NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.

Wed, 04 Jun 2014Ford has released the full list of pricing and specs on its new Transit, the replacement for the long-lived E-Series cargo van. Prices are set to start at $29,565 and can increase rapidly from there, depending on length, engine and wheelbase, among other options.
Let's talk first about those new engines. The base is the familiar 3.7-liter, naturally aspirated V6. It boasts 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can return up to 14 miles per gallon in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. This engine can also be adapted to run on LPG or compressed natural gas. Of course, there are better alternatives, for a price, the first of which is Ford's well-received, 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. It packs 310 hp and a best-in-class 400 lb-ft of torque (available at just 2,500 rpm) while matching the naturally aspirated engine in both city and highway fuel economy.
Then, there's the diesel. With a 3.2-liter, five-cylinder diesel mill at its disposal, the Transit generates 350 lb-ft between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, along with 185 hp. This engine hasn't been rated by the EPA, although we'd be really, really surprised if it didn't handily best either of the gas-powered engines in fuel efficiency. A six-speed automatic is standard, regardless of engine.
