1929 Ford Model A Coupe, Built by Misfitskinnykustoms.  This intire car with exception of the coupe body has been hand made and is 1 off. Car has been chopped, channeled, z framed w/ suicide front end, dash grill bezel, interior, floors, top, suspension, linkage etc... Sits on an air ride suspension in the rear and sits on the ground { SLAMMED} The seats are 1 off hand tooled leather.  The motor is chevy v 8 305 and came out an 87 Camaro. Has chevy turbo transmission w/ a ford rear end. Brand new model  A radiator set up with a chevy configuration. Car started off as a chevy and was going to be a 64 truck body, got an opportunity to get a ford coupe body and then went from there and this is how it ended up. So the car still has the chevy title. Car runs and drives good but was built as a show car mainly. Car has been built very solid in Rat rod style, I woud say, but some may disagree. chopped 3 1/2 in top channeled 3 1/2 in floor to lay frame. custom suiced front end and has a z'd frame in the rear for the air bags. You can see more pictures of car at Misfitskinnykustoms.com  If you are interested in the car and would like more info on it please feel free to call or text me at 317-610-1629 Thanks for looking

Also don't know if you can tell from photos, but this hole car has been custom painted in different shades of copper. The car was named Model - A - Braham

Also I have had few people contact me asking about interior and few other things. The interior is made by me and is top grade veg tan leather all the images have been pounded into the leather and then stained with leather dye and sealed so will not ware or fade. Also the bar coming off steering column is half of an ape hanger I made that has controls for your turn signals and high and low headlight beams. This car is also all steel there is no bondo or fiberglass. I left a lot of place on car where  you can see where I have welded together. There are a few rough places on body that could have been patched up with bondo  but I felt that those spots added character to the car and what it had been through since 1929. Everyone that has seen it in real has liked that about it and says car has alot of character. There are way to many details for me to list about this vehicle that have not been listed and I am not a vary good writer, I am a builder and this is what I do for a living. So if you have any questions at all or would like to make a reasonable offer please feel free to call or text me, my name is Fred the # is 317-610-1629   You can watch this video to get full description of car   http://youtu.be/PPVjT0TnXyg

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

Ford taken to task by gov't for Chicken Tax end-around

Mon, 23 Sep 2013

Ford is in a bit of a pickle for importing and selling Turkey-built Transit Connect cargo vans as passenger vehicles in the US, then converting them to commercial-vehicle specification stateside in an effort to bypass a 25-percent tax imposed on vehicles imported for commercial use. Automakers are required to pay a 2.5-percent tax on imported passenger vehicles.
The Blue Oval got into trouble for this in a January ruling in which U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials asked Ford to stop the practice of importing the Transit Connect vehicles with passenger seats, then removing and shredding them. Now Automotive News reports that Ford is appealing the ruling. The 25-percent "Chicken Tax," as the tariff is often called, is 50 years old and was enacted as a response to a German tariff on chickens. Like Ford, Chrysler bypasses the higher tariff, but it does so in a different manner. It partially disassembles Sprinter cargo vans before shipping them to the US, then rebuilds them at a plant in South Carolina.
But the ruling against Ford's strategy states that it "serves no manufacturing or commercial purpose" and is there to "manipulate the tariff schedule," Automotive News reports. As Ford's appeal goes through, it is importing the Transit Connect and paying the higher tax, hoping for a favorable outcome and planning to build the next-generation Transit Connect, which it plans to launch before the end of the year, in Spain.
