First introduced to the market in December 1927, the newly redesigned Model A was soon to be one of the most best selling cars in the world! Nearly two million Model A vehicles were sold in several variations by July of 1928! A huge feat accomplished by Henry Ford, and a testament to an automobile that will remain iconic forever!
We are delighted to offer this recently restored 1931 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup! Finished in beautifully Washington Blue exterior with Black fenders over Black Naugahyde interior with matching vinyl top with glass back window! Power comes from the original 200.5 Inline 4 cylinder engine producing 40 horsepower and 3-speed transmission. Options include whitewall tires with matching driver side mounted spare, FORD door sill plates, horn, chrome radiator shell, glass wind wings, oak bed with beautiful polished stainless steel slats, and 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes!
This stunning example comes from an Illinois Model A collection where it was restored & preserved very well! Its former owner of 12 years rebuilt the entire drivetrain and suspension system which continue to remain in very good condition! The odometer now shows only 581 miles since completion. You will find all new exterior paint accented nicely with red pin stripping! Inside, all upholstery remains very presentable with no excessive wear to be seen. The original chrome instrument cluster surround, steering wheel, horn ring, shift handle, & gauges all continue to appear original to this car. Under the hood, the engine was recently tuned up & serviced with correct radiator hoses & clamps, cleaned spark plugs, fresh fuel & oil, and cleaned carburetor. It starts with perfect ease and runs exceptionally well with the aid of a 6-volt alternator charging system! It will come with the 1931 Illinois license plate pictured.
