This 1931 Ford Model A 5 window coupe with rumble seat and is an older restoration that has held up very well. This Model A has one of the smoothest running engines I have ever seen. I am not sure since I did not restore this car but it runs like the engine was balanced unlike most Model A's. The transmission is tight and the brakes stop good. This car was upgraded to make it a more reliable driver and as follows is a list of upgrades: It has a pressurized coolant system with a new radiator and newly rebuilt water pump. It has a Model B head and pump with Ansen aluminum intake with a Redman header. It also has been changed to 12 volt which includes all lighting and turn signals with 12 V fuel pump. It also has a brand new 9 super 7 carb. This older restoration is by no means a 100 point car and is not all original but is a nice quality driver. The paint does have flaws, it does have chips but nothing major. It will need a new spare tire. This is a clean 82 year old car and is holding up very well for its age. I bought this car out of California with Nevada plates on it, but the title says the original owner was from Texas so this is not a rust belt car and is all Ford steel. I have enjoyed this car for a few years now, but I am running out of storage space. My wife says it is time for someone else to enjoy this car now! Please check out the video. Thanks for looking. http://youtu.be/eKvBIy_Y6cI

Ford recalling nearly 24,000 Focus EV and C-Max models over door chime
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Ford will be voluntarily recalling 23,830 Focus Electric and C-Max Hybrid and Energi models equipped with push-button ignition, according to The Detroit News. Why? Because the cars don't make a noise when the driver's door is open, and are therefore in violation of federal regulations. It's not as silly as Honda's badging recall that isn't a recall, but it's close.
Actually, that's not exactly fair. The chime is supposed to come on when the driver's door is open, as it reminds drivers not to leave their cars on or leave key fobs in the car, an easy thing to forget when the cars in question make virtually no noise at idle and do not require keys in ignitions.
The recall, which Ford is conducting voluntarily, covers 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric hatchbacks and 2013 C-Max Hybrid and Energi models. The overwhelming majority, around 22,900 units, were sold in the US, while the remaining 900 units are in Canada. How many of each model are covered in the recall is not immediately clear.
TX officer allegedly lets 140-mph street racer go with a warning [w/poll]
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Being pulled over by the police is one of the most nerve-racking situations that a driver can go through, and it's even worse when you know that the officer has you dead to rights for speeding well over the posted limit. In this video, the driver of a heavily modified Ford Mustang with a claimed 966 horsepower at the rear wheels could have easily lost his ride for doing triple-digit speeds and street racing, but a friendly Texas police officer appears to send him on his way with a simple warning.
What's more, the driver in question wasn't just speeding - his Mustang was the camera car for a bunch of rolling street races in the wee hours of the morning on a Texas highway. The driver was more than willing to mix it up in the action, too. Eventually the cops catch on and pick the 'Stang to pull over, but not before the Ford owner runs a claimed 140 mph. With only audio to go on after the car is pulled over, the police officer seems incredibly nonchalant about catching someone who was so brazenly breaking the law. Incredibly, the patrolman actually tells the driver that he's seen everyone racing tonight but ignored them. With traffic picking up, the cop says that it's time to "cut it out" and go home for the night. As far as this video shows, that was the end of it.
