Up for auction is this very nice 2 door sedan.  This car is my current driving toy, so the miles stated will go up slightly until auctions end.  The car has a solid body with no rust or dens with no patch panels or bondo present.  It does have a few scratches here & there, but nothing major.  It has a new vinyl top.  The engine was rebuilt 10 years ago. There have not been many miles since the rebuild.  The engine starts easily each time, idles good & smooth and does not puff smoke - even during start up.  The spark advance & throttle levers both work as they should.  The car has 4 new 19" firestones that were just put on.  The "wide whites" look very sharp against the red wheels and black body.  THe rims are painted and in nice shape.  The brakes are new and adjusted good. The car stops amazingly well.  The glass is all good with the only crack in the passenger's rear window. The windows roll up & down good.  THe doors shut nice.  The interior is new including the headliner, door panels, seats and kick panels.  It looks very nice when you look i nside the car.  The guages work, along with the headlights & taillights.  Blow the 'aoogha' horn and watch them smile.  People really appreciate seeing these old cars out driving around.  So, there you have it, a great starting, running, safe with good brakes, good handling car.  This could be the one for you. There are no known issues with this car.  You can drive it as soon as  you recieve it with no worries.  I've been driving this car 3-4 times a week and has not acted up in any way.  It is a very dependable, excellent driver and is very 'tight' without any rattling or squeaking anywhere.  It does have a hitch on the back for pulling a trailor.  You could remove the hitch if you don't like the looks of it.  Don't miss out on this fairly priced Model A at $8200.00 buy it now.  Please email for phone number to discuss this car.  If you have any questions or concerns please please ask early and before the end of the auction.  I am always happy to discuss this car and old cars in general.  Bid with confidence. This car would be excellent for parades and advertising.  I have just changed the oil too.  It will come with new rain gutters which will need to be screwed on above the doors. A $1000 non-refundable down payment is due to PayPal with in 24 hours of the end of the auction.  The balance in full is due within 7 days of the end of the auction either in person or wired to our bank account.  The balance will NOT be accepted into PayPal.  And additional wiring fees are the responsibility of the buyer on the buyers and sellers end.  The car is currently stored in the garage and can remain there for 30 days until the car is picked up or transported.  The buyer is responsible to arrange for and pay for the transportation of the car.

Concentrated ST Formula Proves Just As Potent
I'm not the jealous type... usually. But I will fully admit to being somewhat of a Pouty Polly when I read executive editor Chris Paukert's report after driving the then-new 2013 Ford Focus ST through the impossibly pretty southern French Alps region last June. I feel like a broken record saying this yet again, but hot hatchbacks hold a special place in my heart. And while I'm always giddy to drive any sort of small, turbocharged three- or five-door at home in Detroit, my jealousy was indeed piqued after hearing Paukert tell about the challenging yet breathtaking roads he encountered while driving the flamin' yellow Focus. You know, the sort of roads that, from above, look like carelessly drizzled lines of icing on the frosted Alpen caps.
Several months later, I found myself piloting a Focus ST just west of metro Detroit, pitting it head-to-head against one of Autoblog's perennial favorite cars, the Volkswagen GTI. It was fantastic - enough so that I fully stand behind my statement that in terms of balls-out performance, the Focus ST cannot be beat as far as today's front-wheel-drive hatches are concerned.

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
