I purchased this fabulous 1930 Ford Model A 5 window coupe from an estate sale. The original owner spent ten years and approx. $250K to build this car.
I have had several drag race car and engine builders look at this dragster and they all agree that only the best components of it`s day were used here.
SPECS: Engine 698 cid Donovan block with Brodix EPD 700 Series heads
Bore X Stroke 4.60" X 5.25" Comp. ratio 9:1
Titanium con rods and push rods Sonny Bryant crank
1471 PRO BDS blower- supercharger 30% overdriven/ 19 lbs

1504 hp & 1652 lbs. torque @ 4500 rpm
Transmission: Lenco 3 speed
Drive: Mark Williams modular rear end- gear ratio 4.88
Body: Hadman all steel full funny car chassis 4130 chromoly
This car has never been raced and according to the knowledgeable persons that I have talked to it would require a more up to date front end to consider taking it to the drag strip. In it`s current state it is probably most suitable as a show car and was even driven on the streets in Washington State by the original owner. The professional engine builders that I talked to recommended parting out the Donovan engine, BDS blower , Lenco transmission, the Mark Williams rear end, install a small block and make an awesome street rod. I have not started this engine and I have very limited knowledge of these vehicles other than what I have stated here so I`m unlikely to be able to answer any technical questions. This car is currently in private storage. It can be viewed but not removed from this location until the first week in May.
Buyer pays shipping charges as well as any duty or taxes if applicable. I have been quoted $2000 for shipping from Toronto, Canada to L.A.

Cadillac Escalade gets $5,000 discount to ward off Lincoln Navigator
Wed, Nov 8 2017General Motors apparently isn't going to let early good reception for the redesigned Lincoln Navigator steal thunder from its own luxury SUV without a fight. It's offering a $5,000 discount on the purchase or lease of the Cadillac Escalade this month to any buyer who trades in a 1999 or newer Lincoln model, Bloomberg reports. GM spokesman Jim Cain told Bloomberg the incentive is being offered to keep prices competitive for the Escalade. The 2018 Navigator starts at $72,055, compared to $73,995 for the Escalade, but the outgoing version of the Navigator is selling for an average of around $53,000, compared with more than $80,000 on average for the Escalade, he said. The Escalade was the top-selling domestic luxury SUV in October and No. 4 in the segment, according to Motor Intelligence. It far outsold the Navigator, which last saw a refresh in 2015 and a full redesign in 2007. But Ford is hoping to gain back some ground with the new Navigator and updated Expedition, which also trails the Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevy Suburban in its segment. Bloomberg notes that one Morgan Stanley analyst estimates that GM owns a $2 billion annual pretax profit edge in the lucrative luxury sport utility segment. Our recent First Drive review called the new Navigator "far superior to its primary competitor, the Cadillac Escalade."Related Video:
Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]
Thu, 21 Feb 2013For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.
Continue on below for the video, or you can check out some images of the new FPV at the facility, as well as a gallery of the GT R-Spec car.
Former Ford president, Jaguar chairman Nick Scheele dead at 70
Sun, 20 Jul 2014We have the privilege here at Autoblog of reporting a lot of good news, but it is our duty as well to report the bad news and sad news as well. And this is one of those occasions as the automotive industry mourns the passing of one of its leaders.
Nick Scheele was born in the UK in 1944 and joined the Ford Motor Company upon graduating from the University of Durham in 1966, staying within the Blue Oval's portfolio for the entirety of his career. After moving to North America in 1978, he rose through the ranks to become president of Ford's Mexican operations in 1988. After acquiring Jaguar, Ford appointed Scheele as its chairman.
Scheele subsequently acted as chairman of all of Ford's European operations, making difficult decisions to take the division out of the red and into the black. He briefly headed up Ford's North American division before he was appointed in 2001 as president and chief operating officer of the global automaker, working under CEO Bill Ford following the departure of Jacques Nasser departure and retaining the role until his retirement in 2005.
