The Convertible Cabriolet, Type 68-B, was by far the most elegant of the Model A open cars. It had the weather tight advantages of a closed car, but these were shared with the top-down features of the Roadsters.

This Cabriolet has just completed a total restoration to a high level. Starting with the body off the car, the frame was refinished and several of the components were powder coated. The muffler, battery and many other components are new. The engine and transmission, still in good working order, received a thorough service which included a new clutch. The generator was replaced with an alternator and the headlight bulbs were upgraded to halogen.

The body and upholstery are completely redone. The exterior is Bronson yellow with dark brown side and rear trim. Unique to the Cabriolet's color scheme, the rear deck is also dark brown. The top is tan canvas and the interior, in period correct Bedford cord fabrics, is new and stunning as well.

There are several accessories which help define the car's quality and appeal. These include a radiator stone guard, quail radiator cap, twin rear view mirrors, pop out ignition switch, dash light, welled fenders and whitewall tires.

The Blue Oval used a professional stunt driver to hook six guys into going on a little car trip, but the setup is the key – she pretends she's not that good at driving, until she's really good at it. Uber hopes facilities in Detroit will help shape its autonomous future

Hot off the heels of unleashing its fleet of self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh, PA, Uber announced plans to open a new facility in the Detroit, MI area, reports Automotive News. The new facility was announced at an event hosted by Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, MI. Uber's vice president of global vehicle programs Sherif Marakby revealed the news, reports Automotive News. The facility is meant to help the ride-sharing company collaborate with suppliers and automakers in the area. There's no word on where Uber will build the new facility or how big it will be, as those factors have yet to be determined. Just like Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI could become another testing ground for the ride-sharing company. The latest move to open a facility in the Detroit area comes after Uber offered users in Pittsburgh the chance to ride in one of its autonomous vehicle as it looks to gain vital real-world testing. Uber is utilizing a fleet of modified Ford Fusions. Earlier this year in April, the automaker announced a partnership with Google, Lyft, Uber, and Volvo to develop autonomous cars. A new facility in Detroit would strengthen the partnership and help Uber, as well as Ford put autonomous vehicles on the road faster.
