BUILT ALL ACROSS SO. CALIFORNIA, RON USED THE THE BEST SHOPS TO COMPLETE HIS CAR, THERE IS A VERY THICK FOLDER OF RECIEPTS DOCUMENTING THE BUILD ON THE CAR, COPIES WILL BE GIVEN WITH THE CAR, BUT THE ORIGNALS HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE WIDOW FOR TAX PURPOSES
THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT, DOES FREEWAY SPEEDS WITH EASE, ONE COOL CRUISER, WILL TURN HEADS AT ANY CAR SHOW OR CRUISE NIGHT OR BE AN ATTRACTION AT ANY MODEL A CLUB EVENT
THIS IS ONE TRUE NOSTALGIA HOPPED UP HOT ROD MODEL A
NOW FOR THE GOOD AND THE NOT SO GOOD:
THE CAR WAS PRO BUILT ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO AND HAS BEEN SITTING FOR 5 YRS GETTING STARTED AND DRIVEN ABOUT ONCE A MONTH SO ITS NOT SO FRESH ANYMORE BUT STILL LOOKS GOOD
NICE PAINT AND UPHOLSTERY BUT NEEDS A GOOD DETAIL WITH CLAY BAR AND A GOOD SCRUB ON THE ORANGE
THE GAS TANK WILL LEAK WHEN FILLED UP, I NEED TO REMOVE THE DASH AND CHECK THE FLOAT GLASS AND BEZEL,IT WILL BE DONE BEFORE THE AUCTION IS OVER,
THERE IS NO CARPET ON THE FLOOR AS THE GAS TANK HAD LEAKED ON IT AND IT NEVER GOT REPLACED, I THINK A RUBBER MAT WOULD LOOK BETTER,THERE IS A MODEL A STORE CLOSE BY IF YOU WANT TO PICK ONE UP
THE ENGINE RUNS GREAT, PULLS HARD, HAS LOTS OF POWER, LOTS OF OIL PRESSURE, BUT WILL SPRAY IT OUT OF THE DIP STICK ON THE FREEWAY, I NEED TO TRY AND MODIFY THE ORIGINAL ONE TO SEE IF IT CAN BE STOPPED,JUST HAVENT HAD THE TIME TO TINKER , THE CAR DOES RATTLE AND VIBRATE, IT WILL PUT YOUR GAS FOOT TO SLEEP AFTER 40 MIN, AND WILL SHAKE A FEW BOLTS OR SCREWS LOOSE ONCE IN A WHILE
IT RUNS COOL ALL AROUND TOWN AND ON THE FREEWAY IN CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC, BUT DID GET A LITTLE WARM (220) ON A 10 MILE UPHILL GRADE GOING 65 MPH, I HAD TO BACK OUT AND SLOW IT DOWN FOR A BIT TIL IT CAME BACK DOWN TO 180
ITS A STOCK MODEL A STEERING BOX AND HAS A LITTLE PLAY AND THE BIAS PLY TIRES TRACK THE GROOVES, BUT IS GREAT ON ASPHAULT
THE HOOD TOP HAS NOT BEN ON IT FOR A FEW YEARS, THE SIDE MOUNTING BRACKETS WERE MISSED PLACED, AND NEVER REMADE BUT IT SITS WRAPPED IN A BLANKET
SO I KNOW IF FORGETING ALOT SO ASK YOUR QUESTIONS

Ford dissects the heart of the 2015 Mustang, its engine range
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Happy Mustang Day. Are you tired of hearing about the 2015 Ford Mustang yet? No? Good, here's a bunch of mechanical data on Ford's sixth-gen muscle car, along with cutaways of the GT's 5.0-liter V8 and the new 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder shown above. We also have a smattering of info on the Stang's updated transmissions and an exploded-parts-diagram view of its all-new independent rear suspension.
Ford is set to make waves offering the Mustang with a turbo for the firs time since the small-volume SVO of the 1980s. Displacing 2.3 liters, the engine's twin-scroll turbo should help the four-cylinder turn out a projected 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, while also returning the best fuel economy in the Mustang's engine lineup. As we said in our Deep Dive, the EcoBoost will be slotted in as a premium engine, above the 3.7-liter V6 but below the 5.0-liter V8.
Speaking of that high-revving eight-cylinder, it's receiving a new cylinder head with high-flow ports. The intake and exhaust valves are larger and the cams have been replaced, among other tweaks. It should rev even higher thanks to a rebalanced crankshaft and forged connecting rods. Ford is still claiming a projected 420 hp and 390 lb-ft, although as many of the changes for the 2015's V8 come from the 2013 Boss 302, we're going to assume there's some sandbagging at work.
This 1969 Ford F-100 has a Cadillac CTS-V engine lurking underhood
Fri, Jan 30 2015Something always feels just a little taboo when someone builds a custom and then slots in a powertrain from a rival automaker. That's exactly the case with this modded 1969 Ford F-100 boasting a highly tuned LSA supercharged V8 like from the second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. However, with a claimed 800 horsepower on tap thanks in part to running an estimated 20 pounds of boost, it's easy to get over any bad feelings. Built by Tommy Pike Customs in South Carolina, the truck tries to keep the exterior looking somewhat stock. Although, the jade green and satin gold paint, Quaker State logo, lowered suspension and black wheels immediately suggest something is up. Once the F-100 starts up with its menacing growl, absolutely any doubts of this beast being unaltered are immediately gone. Not so obvious are some tweaks to actually help put all that power down, including disc brakes and independent suspension setups at the front and rear. The video gives some glimpses at a few of Pike's other creations, but the real star here is definitely his mean, green Ford.
2018 Woodward Dream Cruise: What to know and where to go
Fri, Aug 17 2018If there's anything that proves Detroit's motor-oil-in-the-veins, gearhead bonafides, it's the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, which will bring an anticipated 1.5 million or so people from near and far, plus tens of thousands of classic and custom and just plain weird cars, to a 16-mile portion of Woodward Avenue on Saturday for the 24th year. Loved by gearheads, collectors and the merely curious, who see it as the Motor City's version of Mardi Gras, and loathed by others, who deride it as the world's largest traffic jam, the Dream Cruise is nothing if not an explosion for the senses. What will you see there? Well, as Autoblog Managing Editor Greg Rasa put it last year, "There are historic cars. And works of art. Some are worth vast sums of money, and some are rat rods and rust buckets. And some are bizarre creations that make you ask, 'What were they thinking?'" A few things are certain: You will see many incredible automobiles. There will be plenty of T-shirts and other merch, official and not-so-much. It will be crowded, and probably hot. The Cruise will officially go from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., though of course cruisers have been out already for weeks. And there are plenty of attractions, both on and off the pavement of Woodward. Tony Michaels, the Dream Cruise's executive director, said the event is special for the Detroit region. "Together we celebrate the automobile and what it has meant to us," he told Autoblog. "To see the these fantastic vehicles and the proud owners says so much about who we are and our pride. "People should take it in to see history running 16 miles down Woodward Avenue and to be a part of the greatest automobile event in America." Ford is once again serving as the Dream Cruise presenting sponsor and will hold the 20th anniversary of the Mustang Alley at the corner of Nine Mile and Woodward in Ferndale, where it expects as many as 1,000 Mustangs to line up. It will also show off its lineage of trucks at 13 Mile, along with several performance vehicles at Duggan's Irish Pub at 31501 Woodward in Royal Oak. The company on Thursday unveiled the 2018 Mustang Cobra Jet drag car to celebrate the nameplate's 50th anniversary. Just 68 examples are planned of the $130,000 limited-edition model Other Ford activities include: Sales of tickets for a raffle of a one-off Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt, starting at the media clubhouse at 2 p.m. Friday. The raffle itself takes place in November and will support juvenile diabetes research.
