1929 Ford Station Wagon- The forerunner of today's SUV- This Woodie was lovingly restored by an older gentleman and his friends from the Model A Club. It has all new mechanics, including a completely rebuilt engine. The wheels and many other items were powder coated to resist rust. It retains all the original 3 rows of seating, and the upholstery and top fabric has been done by LeBaron-Bonney Company. It is original Model A except for an alternator, seat belts, and signal lights. Oh, and a CB radio for events with the club. The restoration has been done for about 12 years and there is some wear from normal use. The pictures were taken right out of winter storage, and it will shine up nicely with a good wash. The custom made side curtains are authentic and store under the body in the factory sealed metal storage box. These are a must for those damp nights and chilly mornings. It has correct rain gutters, an accessory clock mirror and a Boyce Motor-meter to dress up the radiator. Also included is the original generator, a stainless steel gravel guard for the radiator, a jack, crank handle, engine splash pans, and another powder coated wheel and black wall tire.
This is a great car for family bonding, touring and conversation. It gets a lot of attention wherever it goes, and we reminisce of the good old days. I am classifying it as an above average driver. It is not a fresh restored car, but slightly used. I have chosen a fixed price auction and set a price that is very reasonable. It is an affordable classic woody that will only appreciate in value, but the experience is priceless. Please call with any questions Greg (860) 913-4680

Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible makes inappropriate appearance in Detroit [w/video]

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

With the polar vortex fresh in the minds of Autoblog's Detroit-based staff, we're finding it funny that any manufacturer would choose January in the Motor City to show off a new and highly anticipated convertible to the general media and public for the first time. But Ford has done just that, giving us our first real peek at the new Mustang Convertible in the flesh.
The new Mustang Convertible is more or less unchanged from the standard coupe, with some subtle styling tweaks to accommodate the retractable soft top. Engine and transmission choices are identical to the hardtop, although we should expect slightly lower performance due to the hardware for the roof. Like the coupe, neither prices nor performance metrics have been published yet for the convertible.
Hop up top for our live gallery of images from the floor of the Detroit Auto Show.
