hi i have a 1968 ford galaxie 500 convertible for sale that i am basicly selling for the drivetrain it has beautiful powdercoated frame radiator support and rear end has all new bushings seals, shocks springs, and brakes (disc on the front and drum on the back). if you wanted to take the body off this car and swap frames with your car this would be the perfect one for the job, would be cheaper and faster than sandblasting yours down and spending time with powdercoating. the body is in over all ok shape the inside is completely stripped but is rock solid has floor pan and trunk pan work done on it the 302 came with just the block and not sure if it is original or not the transmission is an automatic with overdrive that has been sandblasted and rebuilt it has boxes and boxes of parts and the trunk is full of parts you could probably put it back together but i would not go through the trouble we bought this car with the intentions of doing a frame swap with my 68 fastback xl but took the easy way out and bought a done car so this car is sitting in the shed now... this is a texas car with texas title. pLease if you have and questions or concerns or help with shipping please give me a call or text im sure there is somethings i have missed 1 712 303 0822. serious inquires only no scammers. Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey

According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Next Ford F-150 delayed for aluminum body panel issues?

The timetable for next-generation Ford F-150 may be in trouble if a report from The Truth About Cars is true. The next F-150 is slated to make extensive use of weight-saving aluminum in its body, but the aluminum alloy provided by suppliers hasn't met Ford's requirements in the earliest phases of pre-production, according to the report.
The F-150 represents a huge portion of Ford's profits and is the best-selling truck in the US, even in the face of increased pressure from cross-town rivals General Motors and Ram. While the current truck is treading water against its competition, we'd be lying if we said the F-150 weren't growing quite long in the tooth.
If production of the next-generation of the Ford cash cow, said to be based on the Atlas Concept from the 2013 Detroit Auto Show (pictured above), is delayed, it could be bad for Ford. Production at Ford's Dearborn Truck Plant is already set to be delayed six to ten weeks, missing an internal on-sale deadline of Memorial Day.
