This is a wonderful second owner 1967 Ford Galixie LTD Fastback with the factory 390 Big Block with 89,000 original miles. This car was built in California and has never left. It’s 100% stock including factory air conditioning and has been garage kept since the first owner bought it new. Everything is in great shape, absolutely NO rust and it drives like a dream. The only blemish is the driver side armrest has a tear in it as you can see in the pictures and the steering wheel has a crack. Everything works great on the car but I cannot vouch for the factory air conditioning as the original owner took the fan belt off the AC pump to preserve the pump. I turned the pump by hand and it turns perfectly. I installed new breaks, shocks, and a carburetor rebuild kit because it seeped a little gas due to old gaskets. Oil changes have been every 3000 miles. The previous owner loved this car and so do I. I am only asking what I bought it for and hoping that the next owner continues the appreciation and love this car has seen its whole life.

Shelby GT500 laps N"urburgring in under 7:40?
Wed, 30 Oct 2013A couple of weeks ago we brought you footage and official times of the new Chevy Camaro Z/28 lapping the Nürburgring. With a 7:37.47 lap time, the Z/28 emerged as the fastest muscle car ever to lap the circuit. But what was missing from that picture was how fast the king of all Mustangs, the Shelby GT500, could manage to lap the Nordschleife.
Ford never released any information or footage of the GT500 on the Nürburgring that we were aware of - that is, until the guys at SVTPerformance.com put in a request for Mustang videos. Among the clips they received was never-seen, in-car footage of the Shelby GT500 lapping the circuit. And boy did it hustle.
Although not quite official, the video seems to show the GT500 lapped the venerated German track in a touch under 7:40. That would make it a tick or two faster than the Camaro ZL1 - but what of the Z/28? By Chevy's quoted time, the Z/28 is still faster than the GT500, but SVTPerformance suggests GM may have fudged the numbers a bit and scrubbed half a second or so off their lap time.
Ford reports $3B profit in Q4, $6.9B for the year
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Good news out of Dearborn today, as Ford announced $3 billion in profit for the last quarter of 2013, a 90-percent increase over the same period of 2012. Net income for all of last year, meanwhile, jumped to $7.2 billion from $5.7 billion in 2012, while pre-tax profits sat at a decade-topping $6.9 billion for all of 2013.
The results of the substantial profit increases are bigger profit-sharing checks for UAW employees. How big? A record $8,800 on average for 47,000 UAW workers, making 2013 the biggest year for profit sharing in Ford history. In total, $414 million will be paid as part of the profit-sharing scheme.
Now, it should be pointed out that a fair portion of Ford's Q4 profits were due to tax benefits, totaling $2.1 billion, according to Automotive News. Total profits would have also been higher, had there not been a significant recall on the Escape, as well as plant issues in South America.
