This is a nice Older Hot Rod that was a Dallas car it whole life till 2011. Now its in Mesa, Arizona notifie me if you would like to inspect it or have someone inspect it. I believe I am the third owner and it is sold to me as actual miles the car is not rusty cept a couple of minor surface rust spots on inside of trunk quarters, the torque boxes are clean including the rest of the car. I was told by a previous owner it has 390 4v heads with hardened valve seats for unleaded gas. It also has engine upgrades like a performer aluminum intake an Edelbrock 750 carburetor, Hooker supercomp headers a cam unsure of duration C6 automatic trans with cooler, p/s cooler. 1966 is the first year of the C6 and supposed to have a different valve body. It has a 9 3/8 " rearend on coils posi and unsure of the duration. This car runs stops and drives and is dependable and starts easy. We replaced the gas tank new and rebuilt the carb right changed all the fluids it has brand new Radial T. A.'s. this is a nice old car. It also comes with original hubcaps and stock wheels. The interior shows like new though it needs new carpeting this car supposed to have red interior everything but headliner and visors are factory white. This car is not perfect but is a good driver fixer or total restoration car. Car needs some TLC but is a RARE CAR which will only gain in value.

Camaro SS, Hellcat Widebody, and an Airstream camper | Autoblog Podcast #545

Fri, Jun 29 2018

On this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Green Editor John Beltz Snyder and Senior Editor Alex Kierstein. We talk about a lot of American stuff, including the Chevy Camaro SS 1LE and the new Blazer, Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody, Ford's new train station and a diesel F-150 towing an Airstream trailer, as well as some Tesla pickup news. Somehow the Kia Stinger also made its way into this red, white and blue episode (because it's great, and it's our new long-termer). This week, we try something a little different in the "Spend My Money" segment. Autoblog Podcast #545 Your browser does not support the audio element. Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.

2014 Ford Cobra Jet announced with new colors, parachute mount

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

Ford's drag-strip-ready Mustang Cobra Jet is back for 2014, and it's sporting a few changes to make it even better - both in competition and while sitting still. Rolling off the assembly line ready for duty in the NHRA Stock or Super Stock classes, production of the 2014 Cobra Jet is limited to just 50 units.
Racing upgrades for 2014 include the addition of a new three-speed transmission and a parachute mount, and while these will make the car better in the quarter mile, the Cobra Jet's new colors will make it look better tearing down the track. Buyers can now get their racecars painted up in Gotta Have-It Green or a custom, Cobra Jet-exclusive matte black hue. Ford and Ford Racing have already teamed up to make this an incredible factory drag racer with a full rollcage, massive Hoosier slicks, a race-tuned suspension setup and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Now, if only wheelie bars came standard...
Unlike the confusing third-party ordering system announced for the COPO Camaro, all you need to snatch up a 2014 Cobra Jet is $97,990 and good timing (as the cars will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis). Ordering opens up next month with production commencing in July. Check out the press release below.
