Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, United States
Up for A No Reserve Auction is my 1965 Galaxie 500 428 four speed car.I was going to Build a 427 Super/Stock clone and use the fiberglass fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and bumpers from Crites. As I am going to be moveing I don't have the time to finish it and can't take it with me.The body on the car is in good shape and is streight with only very minor rust to repair, doors are nice and open and close very well. I wouldn't have bought this car if I thought it wasn't worth it.The frame needs very little attention behind the front torque box area. This is the flat area where the water lays.About a one foot flat plate repair in the same area on both sides at the bottom.Rest of frame is in excelent condition and so is the floor.Easy repair/about an hour per side max!! The motor has been completely redone and here is a list of what has been done to it. 428CJ Also comes with another set of heads that have new valves and a little porting done. Engine is up and running with only an hour brake in time on it.The interior is in great shape needing only new carpet and a head liner.Left door panel need small repair.Car needs a little work to complete but can be drivin as it is while paint prep is bing done.THE OPENING BID IS LESS THEN WHAT THE MOTOR IS WORTH AND WHAT I HAVE IN IT!! This is in the makings of a very nice Muscle Car Thanks for looking and mabe considering my car.Hope it goes to some one who finishes it as the muscle car that it should be.Have a great day. |

NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. Supercars for the win | Autoblog Podcast #515
Fri, May 19 2017Some days at Autoblog are better than others. And in this episode, we talk about those days. Specifically, the days where we get to drive supercars. Mike Austin, Greg Migliore, and Alex Kierstein join up in this episode to talk about driving the McLaren 720S, Ford GT, and Porsche 911 GT3. We also drove some less-super, but still notable cars that we talk about at the top of the show. And as always, we play the game Spend My Money where we get to tell readers what we'd do if we were them. We had a lot of fun with this one, we hope you enjoy listening to it. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too.
