1964 ford galaxie 500xl 4 door.

All original un-molested central texas car.
Bought new in Dallas, spent its life in Waco. Have original ford sales order,
Maintence records over the years, and owners manual.
Second owner was the son of the original owner, he had it stored for
15 years and the sold it to the third owner whom I purchased it from.
I bought it to build a hot rod out of, after doing an extensive amount of research
I have determined this car is better left original and I'm going to go with a
Fairlane as my project.
Car has a factory 390 "thunderbird" motor. Runs great, lots of power.
Has an added brand new New Holly. 4 barrel carb and chrome air cleaner.
I do have the original air Cleaner too.
Cruise-o-matic transmission, shifts great.
Car has factory air, everything is here to make it work but currently does not blow cold.
Factory power assist steering.
Previous owner installed the following new parts:
Holly 4 barrell carb
Rear air shocks
Front shocks
Brake booster
Wheel cylinder kits and drums
Front steering components, tie rods, drag links ect.
American racing torque thrust wheels 14" up front 15" in back with bfg tires.
Full 2 1/2" exhaust with dual, flowmaster mufflers, tailpipes out sides in front of rear
Bumper corners. Car sounds great!

All windows with their original glass and roll up and down smoothly, doors open and close with ease, all handles and locks work great.

Car only needs rear trans output seal replaced as it drips fluid, tear in drivers seat fixed
And a new headliner. All original glass, paint, trim, bumpers ect.
Have all 4- 14" factory steel wheels with xl hubcaps to go with the car.

No rust except for minor surface rust along bottom of back chrome bumper.
Solid rust free floor pans and trunk. Car was well cared for.

I will be making a trip to Orlando florid in the next 60 days and could help
With delivery of the car if needed.

One Step at a Time
Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another.
Chuck Schwynoch had been patiently listening to my ramblings on the other end of the phone for a solid half hour. I'm not too big of a man to know when to ask for help, and at this point, I desperately needed some assistance. The truth is, working on a machine like a Fox Body Mustang is as easy as breathing thanks to the wealth of information available on the web. Nearly every flavor of exotic driveline has been shoved into the ubiquitous Ford at some point or another, and odds are the sorry souls behind those builds shared the highs and lows of their torment with the internet community.

Ford gives police chiefs tech to surveil officers in their own cars

Tue, 28 Oct 2014

Police officers certainly have a difficult job in keeping the streets safe, but as public employees in positions of authority, there is still a very real need for oversight. To that end, Ford is partnering with a tech company to offer a new system called Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement on its line of Police Interceptor patrol vehicles that could make cops safer, while giving cities a better idea of what its officers are doing.
The system streams live data about cruisers back to the home base to people like the police chief or shift supervisor. That info includes expected things like speed, location and cornering acceleration, but it gets incredibly granular as well, with records of things like if emergency lights are on, or even if an officer is wearing a seatbelt.
Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement "ought to protect officers as much as it protects the public," said Ford spokesperson Chris Terry to Autoblog. Constantly monitoring patrol cars offers cities a lot of advantages, too. First, it reduces potential liability because a department can prove where each vehicle is at all times. Also, officers know they are being watched and may potentially drive more safely.

Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Scroll on below to see for yourself, and enjoy the ride.
