Attention Ford fans,this is your chance to own a Galaxie 500 with a real 1963 block-C3AE-427 dual quad setup with fiberglass hood,fenders,and trunk at a fraction of an original's price.This car was originally a 289,but now has a newly built 427 dual quad side oiler with 10.25 compression to run on pump gas.It runs cool all day long even with a/c on in 90 degree temps with Be Cool radiator and March Performance Belt system.
Other Mechanicals-1-Brake system entirely new including all lines with conversion to power front discs.2-Shocks/springs/tie rods all new.3-Bushings replaced.4-Rear diff. is currently a new 3.25 rear posi unit,but it also comes with fully functioning 4.11 posi pumpkin.5-new rear axles
Interior-1-Seats are original and in near perfect condition.The rest of the interior was completely redone including Dynamat throughout with new carpeting,headliner,rear tray.2-the car was rewired with all guages,clock redone and every single thing works as it should including all internal and external lights and indicators with new bulbs throughout.3-Classic Air a/c system was integrated seamlessly and works perfectly with original controls.4-Original radio was redone with modern internals am/fm with jack for i-pod/satellite with new speakers and wiring.5-all door cards completely disassembled and redone as factory with rivets.6-all brightwork inside and out rechromed or polished 7-dash repainted.8-new glovebox.9-new glass 10-new rubbers and seals11-all newdoor hardware

Overall,the Car is a solid 2-interior and mechanicals a 1- with the paint a 3.The car is not perfect.It does have some cowl rust on drivers side.I have not repaired this yet as the new owner may well want to repaint car to bring the entire car up to a 1..At that point it is obviously easy to repair cowl at the same time.I have all receipts and has spent about 45k toal plus 100s of hours of my own labor.I did this car because I enjoy it not to make money as the car will sell for much less than this.I have the reserve set low as I have other projects that I would like to do

Performance cars driving sales gains
Wed, Jun 3 2015We're living in a fantastic time for performance cars. For drivers, there are a bevy of exciting models either already here or on the way that cater to different demographics within the niche, like the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 and Dodge's Hellcat-powered products. While trucks and crossovers still offer a booming market at the moment, sporty vehicles are another way for automakers to make some cash, too. According to Ford Performance director Dave Pericak speaking to Automotive News, "Performance vehicle sales around the world continue to grow – with sales up 70 percent in the United States and 14 percent in Europe since 2009." Automakers love this popularity because the sporty models create a perfect storm to make big money on each sale. One reason for the strong margins is that performance vehicles are generally based on existing models or platforms. That keeps development costs lower and allows for a focus on tech like turbocharging or light-weighting to subsidize investments for future products. When it comes time to arrive in the showroom, automakers can load them with equipment, according to Automotive News. With transaction prices already growing thanks to longer loans, buyers have been willing to pay more as of late, as well. The customers in the segment also tend to be younger and more affluent. For example, 30 percent of customers for Ford's ST models have a household income over $100,000 and Millennials buy them twice as much as other products from the brand, according to Automotive News. Despite popular myths, young people still like to drive, which could mean possible return customers. The performance trend certainly isn't on the wane yet. In fact, vehicles like the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Focus RS and Fiat 124 Spider show more fun is on the way. James Franco and tiger tease Ford Super Bowl commercial
Sat, 01 Feb 2014Ford has just released a teaser for its Super Bowl ad, and unlike just about every other automaker, it seems that the Blue Oval is going to make us wait until Sunday to see the full spot. The teaser is, um, strange.
It stars James Franco, who believes he is Ron Riggle, the comedian, Fox NFL Sunday host and retired Marine lieutenant colonel. There's also a tiger. The vague spot has Franco claiming that "this is no ordinary commercial." You'll note on the bottom right, there's a Ford logo and the hashtag #nearlydouble.
According to Automotive News, it's part of a massive viral effort being pushed forward by Ford and its dealerships. Ford sent different teasers and "vignettes" to dealership employees and asked them to share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the hopes of creating a viral effect.
