TONIGHT I AM OFFERING FOR THE 1ST TIME MY 1963 & 1/2 FORD GALAXIE FAST BACK 2 DOOR HARDTOP. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR A LIL OVER 1 YEAR. I WAS FIXING IT UP FOR MY SON, WHO JUST GOT HIS LISCENSE. AS TIME WHEN ON I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO GIVE HIM THIS CAR. AS A PARENT I THINK YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WITH THIS KIND OF POWER & HIM BEING A NEW DRIVER AT 16 YEARS OLD THIS HAS MADE MY DECISION FOR HIM NOT TO HAVE THIS AUTOMOBILE. THIS CAR RUNS & WILL YARD DRIVE. THE CAR HAS NO BRAKES WHAT SO EVER. THE BRAKE PEDAL IS ON THE FLOOR. THIS FORD HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD & IN STORAGE SINCE JULY 8TH OF 1981. I DO HAVE THE TITLE FOR THIS CAR BUT IT WAS FILLED OUT ON THIS DATE & IN SOME TIME THE WINDSHEILD HAD CRACKED. IT WAS PUT AWAY IN THE GARAGE AND NEVER FIXED. AND THE CAR WAS NEVER REGISTERED. THE MILEAGE READS 47,506. IT HAS NO MILEAGE ON THE TITLE THEREFORE I CANNOT VERIFY IF THIS IS THE TRUE MILEAGE OR NOT. I HAVE PUT A CARTER 4 BARREL CARBURETOR ON THIS, IT IS A 4 BARREL CARBURETOR WITH ELECTRIC CHOKE. THE ELECTRIC CHOKE IS NOT HOOKED UP. THE CAR CAME WITH A FACTORY AUTOLITE CARBURETOR 4 BAL WHICH COULD NOT BE REBUILT THIS IS WHY I WENT WITH THE CARTER. OTHER THAN THE CARBURETOR EVERYTHING ON THIS AUTOMOBILE IS FACTORY STOCK MATCHING #'S. THE CAR WAS ORDERED 3 SPEED MANUAL SHIFT 3 ON THE TREE, IT WAS ALSO ORDER WITH FACTORY POWER STEERING. AND FACTORY OVERDRIVE. THE BRAKES NEED TO BE COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH. I HAVE REMOVED THE BRAKE SHOES & SPRINGS AS THEY WERE FROZE FROM ALL THESE YEARS SITTING. THE RIGHT REAR SHOES , SPRINGS ARE STILL ON IT. THE BOX YOU SEE IN THE PIC'S IS ALL THE PARTS FOR THE BRAKES I REMOVED. ALL THE SHOES ARE INCLUDED ALSO. YOU WILL ALSO SEE THE AIR BREATHER & 1 EXTRA HUB CAP. THE GENERATOR LIGHT STAYS ON, THE GENERATOR NEEDS TO BE REBUILT WITH NEW BRUSHES. NEXT : I HAVE REPLACED THE STARTER WITH A REBUILT, THE OLD STARTER COMES WITH THE CAR. I HAVE ALSO PUT ALL NEW PLUGS IN IT, THE CAP ROTOR, POINT & CONDENSER WERE STILL GOOD SO I DID NOT REPLACE THEM. THE SPARK PLUG WIRES WERE OLD & BRITTLE SO I REPLACED THEM WITH SOME OLD ONES I HAD. BEFORE I HAD ATTEMPTED TO GET THIS OLD GIRL RUNNING AGAIN, I FILLED EVERY CYLINDER WITH MARVIN'S MYSTERY OIL & LET IT SOAK. THE OIL IS STILL IN THE MOTOR TO THIS DAY. THE 390 MOTOR RUNS GOOD, NO ROD RAPS OR LIFTER NOISE. IT HAS 1 STICKY EXAUST VALVE ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE RIGHT BANK. I DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE & HAVE THE VALVE COME DOWN & HIT THE PISTON, I HAVE THE PUSH ROD FOR IT. THE VALVE IS STUCK ON THE OPEN POSITION JUST RIGHT, SO YOU WOULD ALMOST NEVER KNOW IT, BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW IT. THE TRANSMISSION GOES IN ALL GEARS 1ST, 2ND, 3RD, & REVERSE, THE CAR GOES ON ITS OWN POWER. I HAVE ALSO PUT A FAIRLY NEW BATTERY IN THIS, AND A STARTER CYLINOID, AND VALVE COVER GASKETS. THE TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, THEY ARE BIAS WHITE WALL TIRES. ALL THE SPOTS YOU SEE ON THE BODY WERE DONE MANY YEARS AGO & WERE THERE WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. LOOK AT THE PIC'S CLOSELY, THERE IS SOME ROT ON THE FLOOR PANS. THE GAS TANK IS JUNK. THE GAS CAN WILL GO WITH THE CAR. THE RAIL AROUND THE TRIM MOLDING FOR THE TRUNK NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THE BRACE ACROSS THAT HOLDS THE GAS TANK WHICH IS NOTORIOUS FOR THESE FORDS IS ROTTED. THERE ARE 2 SPOTS JUST BEHIND THE TAIL LIGHTS INSIDE THE TRUNK. I HAVE THE OTHER ROCKER MOLDING BUT THE CLIPS ARE MISSING. ALL THE WINDOWS ROLL UP & DOWN NICELY. THE ROCKERS ARE SOLID, INNER & OUTTER. THE DOORS OPEN WITH EASE & CLOSE NICELY. I HAVE THE TRUNK LOCK BUT NO KEY FOR IT. THE CAR STILL HAS AN ORIGINAL EXHAUSE ON IT WHICH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED RIGHT DOWN TO THE RESINATERS. YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO COME TO MY HOME & INSPECT THE CAR BEFORE YOU BID. BIDDERS WITH LESS THAN 100 FEED BACKS, ARE TO CALL ME BEFORE YOU BID WITH ALL YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION. I WANT THIS TO GO AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE FOR BUYER & SELLER. PLEASE ASK ANY & ALL QUESTIONS. CALL JOHNNY G AT 352 347 1465. THEY WOULD ONLY ALLOW ME TO SHOW 24 PIC'S, BUT I HAVE MANY MORE AND WILL BE GLAD TO TAKE WHAT EVER YOU NEED. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD IN AS IS AS DESCRIBED CONDITION WITH NO RESERVE & NO RETURNS. DEPOSIT THROUGH PAYPAL OF $200.00, AND THE BALANCE TO BE PAID UPON PICK UP. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING FEES, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME GOOD LUCK TAKE CARE JOHNNY G

Ford applies to trademark term 'Lincoln eGlide'
Thu, Apr 30 2020There's an epilogue to Ford's recent announcement that it's giving up on a battery-electric Lincoln co-developed with Rivian. The MachEClub forum discovered that just a week ago, Ford applied with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the term "Lincoln eGlide." The goods and services category details use for "Motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, sport utility vehicles, electric vehicles and structural parts and fittings; electric vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles, sport utility vehicles, and structural parts and fittings." Living in an age where a small "e" is shorthand for "electric," and Ford having specified electric vehicles in the patent, the go-to guess is that this is for an electric vehicle. The inclusion of non-electric motor vehicles injects a little fuzziness. Tesla's trademark on the Model S specifies "electric automobiles" only, whereas Rivian's trademark for the R1T seeks coverage for "land vehicles" and just about every part found in or on a land vehicle.  Since Ford must have known about the end of the Rivian effort when it applied for the trademark, we suppose Lincoln has got some kind of eGlide coming no matter what. Lincoln refers to the theme of its latest cabin designs, as in the Aviator and Corsair, "Quiet Flight," and the road-scanning adaptive suspension on the Lincoln Aviator is called "Air Glide," neither term being trademarked. This leads our suspicions to eGlide becoming a vehicle component that could potentially serve a model with any powertrain, not necessarily battery-electric only, and eGlide won't be the name of the Lincoln EV that Ford says is still on the way. Another clue is that Ford included the word "Lincoln" in the term. Trademarked vehicle names such as Aviator and Corsair don't include the make, but services for vehicles do, such as the trademarks for Lincoln Connect and Lincoln Co-Pilot 360. We'll admit that a little bit of hope informs this line of thinking as well. Ford having done Lincoln the fabulous service of giving Lincolns terrific names, we'd be aghast if the Corsair and Navigator had to share showroom space with an eGlide. We've no choice but to wait for a retail product to provide answers. In the meantime, if we could just get to the bottom of this "Fastor Charge" trademark, and what's this bit about "Vandemonium?"  Related Video:    Â
Sunday Drive: Still thankful for supercars
Sun, Nov 26 2017The Thanksgiving holiday meant that last week was pretty short on stories, but apparently our readers are still thankful for supercars. The biggest news of the week was the new Aston Martin Vantage, which is clothed in a new look that Autoblog readers are still very much unsure of. It's a radical departure from past Aston Martin models, and while everyone seems to agree that the profile is lovely, the squinty headlamps are a particular source of contention. Its 503 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of torque cannot be argued with ... oh, and a V12 may be coming soon. Moving along is a nearly new 2006 Ford GT for sale that's expected to fetch around $300,000 at auction. It's so unused that it still has plastic wrap covering the leather interior. The Ango-American theme continues with the McLaren 720S, though not in road-going form. Still, renderings of the upcoming 720S GT3 racer round out this supercar-rich recap. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog for all the latest automotive news that's fit to print.
