I have decided to sell my 1961 FORD Galaxie Sunliner Convertible. It's a very nice Car with ZERO RUST anywhere.

The Floors are Flawless and have been protected with por-15, I just installed Thermo-tec Sound/Heat Insulation covering the complete floor. Also has Brand New carpet. The Rest of the interior is very good as you can see in the pics, Not Perfect but Very, Very Good. Keeping with the interior, It has a new glove Box, Homemade Center console to house gauges and the new radio (so the dash has not been cut for a newer radio), There is just a delete plate where the original would go. Has a full set of Stewart Warner Gauges, The Oil Pres, Amp, Vac all work. The Water Temp, Fuel Pres are not hooked up. The Auto Meter Tach just Stopped working and I haven't looked into it yet. Turn Signals,Tail,Head Lights, High Beams, Interior Lights, Gauge Lights All work. The heater is all there, water hooked up, doesn't leak but the wires are not hooked up and haven't fixed it yet. The front seatbelts are RACEQUIP 3" Lap belts, NO rear seatbelts. All the window roll up and down perfect and trim, weatherstrip, doors seals are great, doors just beautifully. Top goes up and down like it should and is in great condition.

The engine is a just rebuilt 390 with a 428 Crank making it a 410ci. There is maybe 300-350 miles on it. It has a mild cam, New Holley 4160 Carb, Pertronix coil and Ignition upgrade, New Wires, Plugs, Etc. Cast Iron Headers, Original adjustable rockers but now has hydraulic lifters, New Flywheel and New Ram Clutch. 2-10" Electric Pusher fans on thermo switch. New Starter, This engine is not even broke in yet and runs great.

The Transmission is a Borg T-10 4 speed that was just rebuilt and works like it should. I Do NOT have the Flywheel Cover and dust shield for the trans. Also has a brand new driveshaft from Carolina Driveline.

As you can see from the pics, The body is in great condition but is NOT perfect. There are some issues that need to be fixed. The driver Door looks like a Jack hit it (happened before I got the car) It's a spot about 4" long and you can see it in the pic. There are 2 spots about the size of a dime where the paint got chipped near the rear of the car/drivers side. The last area is pass side rear where it looks like someone leaned against it, kinda hard to see though. The Chrome is in great Condition, Only one piece of trim is damaged slightly and thats the pass rear quarter(2 small dings). The hood has a metal hood scoop that was there when I bought it, Nicely done and it's growing on me I have to say. The trunk is very solid, no rust but again, the previous owner put a fuel cell on the car and cut a hole in the trunk floor(about 6"x6") to refuel, Has been working with no issues though. Grille is great. Again, This Body is extremely solid, no Rust.

The wheels are new American Racing Daytona's 18" Rear, 17" Front, Tires have about 300-350 miles on them.

Front End has been completely rebuilt using MOOG ball joints, A-arm bushings, New Shocks, Poly Sway bar End Links, New Drag Link, Etc, Very Tight.

Take a look at the Pics, Please ask any questions you may have... It's not a perfect car but you can't get much cooler than this one. I start all my auctions @ $1.00 so all can get in on the action.

Also may be into trades, Trades +, 30's thru the 60's cars, Cobra Kits, 911, Let me know.

Thank you and good Luck

Ford Fusion demand outstripping supply

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

The attractive new 2013 Ford Fusion has done wonders for the brand in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment - the vehicle is up nearly 22 percent compared to last year. But that sales momentum may soon hold steady due to low inventory levels of the new Fusion across the United States.
According to a report in The Detroit News, citing automotive data and Ward's Auto, Ford currently has a 39-day supply of the Fusion. That might sound fine, but a normally healthy average is about a 60-day supply. If Ford were to stop production on the Fusion today, there would only be enough vehicles available to get through another five weeks of sales, according to the News.
Currently, Ford produces the Fusion at its three-shift assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, and will add production at its facility in Flat Rock, MI later this year. A Ford spokesperson told The Detroit News that when Flat Rock production comes online, the automaker will need to rush new stock out to the regions with the most demand for the Fusion. Ford has doubled its coastal retail market share, with huge amounts of growth in areas like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami, the News reports.

Ford decides C-Max shoppers not interested in fuel economy

Sat, Oct 25 2014

If you say a car – the Ford C-Max Hybrid, for example – is "fun to drive," can anyone really come up with some empirical evidence against your claim? What about calling it "versatile"? We wonder if Ford has been thinking along these lines when it talks about the green little hatch. Ford is refocusing its sales strategy for the C-Max Hybrid after the model took a sales hit on both sides of the Atlantic recently, Automotive News reports. That sales dropoff may stem from the fact that Ford has had to revise its fuel-economy figures downward for the C-Max twice since last year, most recently in June. That made the company's once-proud fuel-economy comparisons with the Toyota Prius kind of pointless. Ford is going a different route, calling the model versatile (which, to be fair it was also doing a year ago), technologically advanced and fun to drive. Since the C-Max has about 50 more horsepower than the Prius, that last part may be true. Ford representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen about the mpg-mention-free advertising direction, but we will update this post if we hear back. Sales of the C-Max Hybrid have suffered in the US. Through September, Ford sold 15,245 C-Max Hybrids, down 36 percent from last year. We shall see if a new focus away from the car's lowered mpg numbers helps. At least Ford can be pleased with sales of the C-Max Energi Plug-in Hybrid, which are up 51 percent compared to 2013.

Buy Ford and GM stock and make 5%

Tue, Feb 2 2016

Want to make a five-percent return when 10-year treasuries are paying around two percent? Ford (F) and General Motors (GM) have solid balance sheets, strong cash flow, solid earnings, and growing markets. By all accounts, they are smart investments. But the market is down on these stocks. Why? Some of the stupid excuses include: They are cyclical companies The Detroit 3 have lost 3.5 million in sales since 2000 The world economy is shaky GM recently filed for bankruptcy Their markets have peaked They haven't changed their ways Let's take these criticisms one by one: They Are Cyclical Companies Yes, they are cyclical. Every company is cyclical. Every industry is cyclical. Some more than others, but not every company is immune from swings in the market. Banks used to be 'non-cyclical' leader, not anymore. Airline stocks are just as cyclical as auto stocks, yet they are trading at multiples greater than the auto industry. Why? And what accounts for the irrational stock price for Tesla (TSLA)? At least Ford (F) and General Motors (GM) make money and have positive cash flows. In fact, both companies have a net positive cash position. They have more cash on hand than liabilities. Auto sales in the United States hit a record 17.5 million vehicles in 2015. During the Great Recession, Ford (F) and General Motors (GM) cut their break even points to 10 million vehicles per year. Anything above an annual U.S. volume of 10 million vehicles is profit. And what a profit they make. Sales of Ford's F-150 continues to be the best-selling vehicle in the United States for over 30 years. Detroit 3 Have Lost 3.5 million in Sales Since 2000 Automotive News reports General Motors (GM), Ford (F) and Chrysler (FCA) have lost a combined 3.5 million vehicles sales since 2000. So how can they be making more money? Two big reasons – Fleet Sales and the UAW. Fleet Sales The Detroit 3 used to own car rental companies to keep their factories running. Ford owned Hertz (HTZ), General Motors owned all of National Car Rental and 29 percent of Avis, and Chrysler, the forerunner to Fiat Chrysler (FCA), used to own Thrifty Car Rental and Dollar Rent-A-Car. The Detroit 3 owned these rental companies to have a place to sell their bad product and keep their factories running. These were low margin sales, and in many cases, were money losers for the Detroit 3. They no longer own auto rental companies.
