This is a very nice one of a kind car....if you are tired of Camaros and Mustangs at car shows then dare to be different ! This car has been restored cosmetically correct but has later model running gear and suspension to be safer.  It has a built 460 Ford with a loppy cam and high rise and a brand new Holley double pumper carb. New Griffin radiator with dual electic fans. High volume water pump, external fuel filter and oil filter coolers. Has a beefed up auto C6 trans with stall converter and a full spool poi trac rear end with 4.11 gears. ( Runs good down highway due to tall tires....65 mph all day long) Has full dual 3" exhaust with stock mufflers and manifolds ....its quiet going down the road. If you want it loud it has electric cut outs...flip a switch and you have the drag strip !! Also rebuilt the frontend and installed disc brakes and all new bearings and axles and converted to dual master cylinder for safety. Car was stripped inside and painted, undercoated the floorboard and then layed insulation all through out. All new CORRECT interior, trim and chrome. Radio works but no antennae installed on car. New heater core and rebuilt box. Car was painted Springtime Yellow and new door and trunk rubbers installed. New felts and roof rail rubbers and verticals. Channel rubber we got was wrong and never got around to it but everything else is new !! Fiberglass 406/427 style hood. Dash pieces and both bumpers were rechromed and are like new. All lights work as should...has aftermarket gauges, tach, and shifter. I have nearly all the pics from the build. Has new gas tank too this year. Clear Texas title and tagged and driven weekly. I built this car 3 years ago. It has been driven by a 70 year old man this 3 years.....not poked along but DRIVEN...sometimes WIDE open !!!lol. Car has been fun but bought a 64 Thunderbolt and dont need two. Car still looks good, drives even better (floats down the road at 100mph if want) Would need little to be a show car and does good at local shows. Paint is really nice..interior like new. The only bad would be the following....at the bottom edge of door and a small place by rear wheel well there are small rust bubbles starting ( a dime probely cover either one.) Trunk above gas tank has rust but cant really see it so didnt mess with it. Motor has some blowby when driven down highway but still runs good so never worried about it.Rear main seal leaks and need to keep cardboard or drip pan under car( kinda like a Model A) Car has been driven....not a garage queen so has small chips and pecks but believe me....its still very nice. I spent about $20,000 buying and building this car. I have had fun but time to pass it on. If someone makes a reasonable offer I will let it go . Car is "AS IS"....I bought on here that way and selling the same. Buyers with "0" buys or feed back will be cancelled. $500 deposit due when sale ends. Cash or wire transfer due within 3 days....you can pick up the car whenever after paid for and after payment is made it can stay as long as you need here. I can deliver in Texas or close by if paid for first. I also have shippers (if available). Call if any questions BEFORE you buy !!!! Thanks and good luck !!! 682-459-3078....car is 30 mile south of Fort Worth ,Texas off I-35W...

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.

Last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible nets $500k for charity at Barrett-Jackson [w/video]

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
