2012 Ford Flex Ecoboost on 2040-cars
New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States
Sadly, I need to sell my amazing ride. My Flex is a beauty with all of the luxury conveniences that a high-end vehicle should possess...heated leather seats, panoramic sunroof, memory seat settings, incredible sound system, SYNC, power everything, wood trim, comfort, and speed...with paddle shifters on the steering wheel should you chose to indulge in a bit of fun on the road. These twin turbos rock, faster than my former 750 Li, but still maintain good gas mileage thanks to the ecoboost (20-21 MPG combo city/highway). Wrapped into this bundle of fun is pure utility, seat 7 or, just fold down the seats and haul your boards. Fashioned to give a nod to the old 'woody' station wagons, the Flex has clean lines and plenty of room. It is equally comfortable for a petite woman or a large man. The seats are roomy, but can be adjusted to fit your frame and includes 2 memory seat/mirror settings on the driver's side. It handles like a luxury vehicle, unlike some other SUVs, and the AWD is great in the rain or snow. The SYNC system allows you hands-free access to all of your technology using voice commands. This vehicle is perfect for anyone from a busy family and executives on the go to surfers and business owners.

Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches
Tue, 11 Feb 2014The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? That's the answer that Xcar is after in its latest video, and it took the Fiesta to the track and some very misty, Welsh roads to find out. Scroll down to find out whether the ST stacks up.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva
Sun, 23 Feb 2014In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.
