This falcon has been built from the ground up as my own pro-touring car with the help of a racecar/hotrod shop. It has all of the best parts in it that I accumulated for almost two years before beginning the build. It runs on pump gas, and sounds amazing with the incredibly straight body showing through the clear coat paint. This is an original V8 California black plate car, and I have written records from the previous owner back from 1963. This car is hiding nothing.

-- ALL OF THESE PARTS ARE PRACTICALLY NEW WITH ABOUT 3000 MILES ON THEM--

* Stroked 351w to a 418 with forged crank, forged H-beam rods, and forged pistons, aluminum Dart heads, Edelbrock airgap intake

* Tremec TKO 500 5-speed transmission with a Quick Time scatter shield.

* Fatman fabrication front suspension

* Control Freaks adjustable coilover rear suspension

* Ford 8.8" rear w/ limited slip, upgraded axles, and 3.73 gears professionally built

* Four wheel disc brakes with 13" rotors up front and a willwood dual reservoir master cylinder

* Aluminum radiator with 3000 cfm electric fan, moroso electric water pump, KRC power steering pump, powermaster alternator

* Car plumbed with aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank with all lines for EFI already installed and running through the car

* Interior has leather bucket seats with Corbeau 5-point harnesses, machine turned aluminum panels, and a Twisted Machine adjustable aluminum shifter with a Hurst knob

* All gauges are Auto Meter American Muscle series.

* Wheels are custom made Vintage wheel works 17x8 in the front and 17x 10 in the rear with BF Goodrich 235s and 255s .

* Custom built aluminum headers with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers.

* It has an aluminum radiator, but could use a larger one. It will begin to run hot if the temperature is too warm outside.

Everything on this car was built right with my standards and no shortcuts. I had the car weighed at 2960 pounds with fuel.

I invested heavily in this car, and it was never intended to be sold. My current marital situation compels my loss of the car. Whoever buys it; I would like to keep in contact to one day repurchase if it goes up for sale again. Thank you for looking.

Ford unveils next-gen S-Max in Europe

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

Let's get this unfortunate though important tidbit out of the way right off the bat: The Ford S-Max isn't sold in the United States, and it's not coming here, at least not anytime soon. And so it's with our European friends in mind that we share this information about the next-gen S-Max (previewed about a year ago in concept form) that is set to debut all across Europe next year and will be shown off at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. Now, moving on...
As with the first-gen S-Max, the new model will boast seating for seven passengers, along with a decent amount of storage space, all packed into a relatively reasonably sized package. Powering the front wheels (or optionally all four) will be the buyer's choice of EcoBoost gasoline-turbocharged or turbo-diesel four-cylinder engines along with automatic and manual transmission options. Included in the mix is a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost with 160 horsepower, though the 240-horse 2.0 is likely to be seen as the headliner.
There are all kinds of new technologies on offer, ranging from Adaptive Steering to Dynamic LED Headlamps with Glare-Free Highbeams, and it's all housed inside new, more sleekly designed bodywork riding atop a chassis with new suspension architecture designed to make the S-Max a people-hauler that's still fun to drive. For all the details, we suggest you scroll down below to read through Ford's official press release.

All the details on Plug In 2014 electric vehicle conference you could ever want

Wed, Aug 6 2014

One of the best parts of the Plug In 2014 Conference in San Jose, CA last week was getting to listen in on thoughts about the state of the plug-in vehicle industry from people who have been involved with it for ages. They bristle when you call them the "Old Guard" (learned that one the hard way), but these are the people who have been through a number of ups and downs with plug-in vehicles, so they've got what we call perspective. Their knowledge was on full display in the three plenary sessions, which the Plug In Conference organizers have given us permission to share with you. Each is at least 90 minutes long, so make sure to set some time aside to enjoy the discussions after you download them (any help with making them streamable would be appreciated). Follow us below to see what we've got to offer. Opening Plenary (audio link). "The Road Ahead – Delivering on a Vision for Sustainable Transportation." Moderated by Mark Duvall (director of energy utilization at EPRI, the Electric Power Research Institute, and a long-time EV advocate), this panel featured: Jack Broadbent, Executive Officer / APCO, Bay Area Air Quality Management District Pat Romano, President & Chief Executive Officer, ChargePoint, Inc. Aaron Johnson, Senior Director, Customer Programs, Pacific Gas and Electric Company Brendan Jones, Director, EV Sales Operations & Infrastructure Deployment, Nissan North America, Inc. David W. Cash, Commissioner, MassDEP Dan Sperling, Director, Institute of Transportation Studies, University of California, Davis Highlights: Educating drivers to "get over the gas station" is a key strategy, how Level 2 and DC Fast Charging are really "a new paradigm," that there have been well over 214,000 EVs sold in US as of July 2014 and where Nissan sees huge potential for more EV sales (Northeast US and medium-size cities like St. Louis and Pittsburgh). Wednesday Morning Plenary (audio link). "Getting to the Mass Market – A Discussion of Ideas for Widespread PEV Adoption." Moderated by John Gartner, research director for smart transportation at Navigant Research.

Ford to add more than 2,000 jobs in Kansas City

Thu, 02 May 2013

Continued high demand for the Ford F-150, along with the addition of the all-new Transit series of commercial vehicles, has led Ford to announce that it will add over 2,000 jobs at its Kansas City Assembly Plant. At the time of the announcement, the plant boasts 2,450 hourly employees working on two shifts. All told, Ford will invest $1.1 billion in the Kansas City plant to expand truck production and begin producing the Transit series.
According to the automaker, fullsize truck sales are up 19 percent through April of 2013, leading to an additional 900 workers and a third shift of production for the F-150. Production of the Transit series will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, requiring an additional 1,100 workers. In addition, Ford estimates that a total of 18,000 jobs will be created by suppliers to its Kansas City plant to support the additional vehicle production.
