This project is WELL on it's way (as you can see by the photos) to becoming a nice ride once again.

The body has only a few places that need to be worked out. I can't say how fast or slow it will take to knock it all out, but I estimate between one to five full days depending on what level restoration you want. The only rust out is the driver floor board. New sheet metal is included with the project for that repair.
The exterior aluminum trim pieces have a few dings but a repairable.

Just about the only gear left to buy to complete the interior is the seat covers, but if you're going to go that route, you could use new seat cushions. I don't have the package tray or the optional dash-pad either. Included is just about all the new rubber (grommets, door seals, window seals, bumpers, etc.), if there are any missing, it isn't much. The carpet is new and rolled up, headliner is the cream crater. door panels are still in the plastic, opened, but still there. I sprang for the higher quality window felt. There is also wind lace, but I am not 100% sure it was the original color for the Palomino interior.

There is a new gas tank not installed yet. The wheels are good but could use a clean-up. The tires have held air for over a year sitting inside. I drove it up to the building but it coughed up and died. Turns out the carburetor that was on it was junk and rigged up. I bought the original model carb that happened to be in the original box. I have the right carb spacer. It was nasty, so I cleaned, glass blasted it and honed it a little. I cleaned the fouled platinum plugs and re-installed them (have a set of Iridium plugs NIB). The Edelbrock cleaner cover is blank finned, it doesn't have the Edelbrock logo written across it. If you want to use it on the carb, you'll need an adapter, the inside diameter of the cover is too large for the OD on the carb. The filter is a K&N. The plug wires installed are new, as is the regulator. I also have a new distributor cap installed. The Pertronix Ignitor kit is still in the box. The valve cover was lightly blasted and repainted with high temp red crackle paint.

There is a wolf whistle under the hood. Again, all the hood rubber is included. As far as the old parts, there is a bunch of them, in fact most everything you need is there except a good windshield, the Ford tail letters, and the chrome spears.

Most of the receipts are included. Which total around $1800. There are several parts included that there is no receipt for. The paperwork to file for a bonded title is included. I have owned the car for about two years now, the previous owner had the car for about the same length. The information for the previous owner to that is in the paperwork I have from the State of Texas. I will even forward the correspondence I have to a title company that I was going to use.

That covers most of it.

Please ask any questions and post any concerns you have before the end of the sale.

Thank you kindly.

2015 Ford Focus Sedan is fresh-faced and ready to defend its Most Popular crown

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

Ford has made an art of deeper-than-normal midlife updates since the 2010 Fusion, a strategy that has allowed it to keep models looking fresher in showrooms for longer without needing full redesigns. Instead of slight touchups to light fixtures, new paint colors and perhaps new wheel patterns, Ford has been digging deeper, with significant sheetmetal changes and very different front-end looks, along with an increased emphasis on new in-car technologies to keep models vibrant. Other automakers are following this trend, and Ford itself is continuing on the path with this new 2015 Focus Sedan.
There's a handsome new SE Sport Package that includes a firmer touring suspension, modest body kit and 17-inch wheels.
We first saw this sleek Aston Martin-like nose fitted to a Focus at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but Ford only showed the new look on the five-door hatchback - this is the first appearance of the sedan, which will bow at next week's New York Auto Show. The front end treatment is the same, with a new hood, new headlamps incorporating LED accents, a different grille shape and a completely revised lower fascia that does away with the 2014 model's controversial triangle-shaped corners and gaping intakes. The rear gets a new two-piece, laser-brazed trunk lid with new taillamps, but the overall look is quite similar to last year's car. In any case, the refreshed look brings the Focus sedan more in line with the design of Ford's other recently reworked cars, including the Fusion and Fiesta.

Ford recalls 200,000 vehicles for brake lights that won't turn off

Wed, Jan 19 2022

Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a new recall for nearly 200,000 vehicles because their brake lights may not turn off. Drivers of affected vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions may also be able to shift the vehicles out of Park even when their foot is off the brake. That increases the risk of a rollaway and could cause a crash. According to documentation posted on NHTSA's recall hub, a separated brake pedal bumper is to blame for the issue. The recall applies to "certain 2014-2015 Fusion, Lincoln MKZ and 2015 Mustang vehicles originally sold or ever registered, in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Hawaii." The safety regulator adds that "exposure to certain environmental conditions, such as high temperatures, high humidity and salt air can cause the brake pedal bumper to disintegrate and separate from the brake pedal." Owners of affected vehicles should expect notification of the recall in early March. They will be directed to the dealership of their choice to have their brake pedal bumpers and clutch pedal bumpers replaced free of charge. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Ford director says company has big efficiency plans, but no dedicated EV

Wed, Mar 12 2014

The annual autofest known as the North American International Auto Show previews a plethora of exciting new products that we'll see and drive later in the year, from tiny urban commuters to family sedans and crossovers to hard-working big pickups and SUVs. It's also a once-a-year cornucopia of auto executives and leaders from around the world. "There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future" - Ford's Kevin Layden So, in-between dozens of cool new-product unveilings on rotating stages during the two press days preceding the public show, we auto scribes grab what planned and impromptu interviews we can. Sessions with top industry leaders can be hard to get, but I was able to score a seat in a group session with then-General Motors North America president (now executive VP of global product development) Mark Reuss, and I also managed brief one-on-ones with a trio of vehicle electrification leaders, one each from Ford, BMW and GM, and what they said then remains relevant now. First up is Kevin Layden, Ford's Director of Electrified Powertrain Engineering. ABG: Where will Ford go beyond its current Focus EV and hybrids, and will there be a Ford EV and/or hybrid on its own energy-optimized platform one day. KL: We don't want to do a dedicated electric vehicle with all the development costs borne by a niche product. At the Michigan Assembly plant right now we're building the Focus electric, PHEV and EcoBoost on the same assembly line. Also the C-Max, with both a hybrid and an Energi plug-in, and we use that same power pack in the Fusion Hybrid and Energi. We want to be, "The power of choice" [a Ford marketing slogan], so having that choice for customers is very important. And if I want to sell the Fusion, Focus and C-Max globally, we can use these power packs wherever it makes sense. So as we go forward, you'll see us proliferating the power packs we have today. Then the question is, what do we do next? There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future. ABG: Is the efficiency difference between a dedicated ultra-efficient vehicle platform and a shared multi-use platform getting smaller as all platforms get more efficient? KL: Exactly. Were going through aero studies now on wheels and tires and hood sealers on base vehicles. We have full aerodynamic wind tunnel studies going on with the base Focus and C-Max, so all of that [aerodynamic improvement] will be there for EVs.
