1962 Ford Falcon on 2040-cars
Marietta, Georgia, United States
1962 Ford Falcon fixer upper. 6 cylinder automatic. I have just done a complete brake job including shoes, wheel cylinders , master cylinder, brake hoses, brake lines. Re packed wheel bearings, new seals, turned drums. I also replaced the upper control arms and ball joints. I bought a new bttery for it and rebuilt the carburetor. The motor is a 68 Mustang 200 6cyl. I have it running with brakes so you can drive it while you fix it up. It has some rust issues, but minor for a Falcon of this age. The rust issues are the drivers floor in the pedal area, the trunk around the spare tire area. there is also rust in the rear quarters behind the tires, but covered by trim. It sounds bad, but really isnt for this type of car. The rust issues are pictured. The rockers are solid and the body exterior is exceptionally straight. The car also has new tires. I'm sure I am leaving something out, so please e-mail with any questions. Sold with bill of sale as Georgia does not issue titles of this age.

Aussie Ford Falcon GT shows its rear end to Lamborghini Gallardo
Sun, 27 Apr 2014When Ford Australia announces, as it did recently, that it wants to celebrate the end of its Ford Performance Vehicle division with a Falcon FPV GT-F that celebrates big-bore origins of the nameplate, it's talking about the kind of car in this video.
At some point the classic Falcon GT - said to be an XY series - was invited to a test of acceleration against a Lamborghini Gallardo. At the very least, the Falcon GT had a 351 cubic-inch motor and 300 horsepower, but whatever this guy's got under the hood of his yellow sedan makes has him so confident that he doesn't even move his elbow from its resting place on the door.
You'll find a reminder of Ford Australia's heyday, a raucous exhaust note and some NSFW language in the short video below.
California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird
Wed, Sep 3 2014A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For
Ford increasing Super Duty production by 15 percent
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Ford has announced a hefty $80 million investment in its Kentucky Truck Plant, which is responsible for building the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 versions of the Super Duty pickup. The influx of cash will add 350 jobs to the factory.
The investment is also good for a 15-percent increase in annual production thanks to retooling and other facility upgrades, which equates to an extra 55,000 units of production. Considering that Ford makes even more money off its Super Duty than it does on the hot-selling F-150, this could mean some serious coin to Ford's bottom line.
