This is my fairlane 500 coupe with the C code 289. Body is straight and trim is in good shape, the doors open and shut great. All glass is there and windows work. Has an older set of aluminum wheels with newer tires. Interior is in very good condition. Just needs the one door armrest and the carpet is original so its a little dirty. Seats are in great shape.
The 289 runs good and I have driven car around lot. Wouldn't take much to make this car a daily driver which is what I had intended to do. The previous owner had bumped into somebody and it bent up the grill, headlight bezels, the very front of both fenders and tip of the hood. I removed these parts and have started prep work on it but something has come up and now I need to sell a couple of projects. I hate to sell it because I haven't run across a coupe this nice. But hey-- my loss, your gain.

Ford patent seeks to monitor driver health while on the road
Wed, Sep 9 2015Ford now has a patent on tech to monitor drivers' changing health behind the wheel and potentially share that information with their healthcare provider. The rather simple idea revolves around a vehicle that would have an account-based system to keep track of people. In an emergency, this technology could even contact paramedics. Ford's patent is titled Medical data acquisition and provision, and the implementation really only requires specialized software and sensors. The documents acknowledge that many people don't keep close track of themselves medically, and this could be a solution. In the company's description, the tech would only gather a person's heart rate and weight. A wireless device in the vehicle would ensure that the info is being collected on the right person. Certain thresholds could also be programmed, and drivers and their doctor could be warned if there's a problem. The solution, while intriguing, might be a little too Big Brother for those with privacy concerns. According to the patent, if a person's healthcare provider wants to take a look at the stored data, than the owner needs to grant permission first. Then, the system can send the info wirelessly. Just because it's been patented doesn't necessarily mean it will hit the market, but an increasing number of people are keeping closer tabs on their health with devices like the Fitbit band. Ford's tech could potentially find some fans among these folks.
USPS releases hot rod stamps to speed up your delivery
Sun, 08 Jun 2014After one of the worst winters in recent memory for much of the country, summer is finally here. It's time to drop the top, open the sunroof or at least put down the windows and take a long drive. The United States Postal Service is celebrating the season's sun in automotive style with two new hot rod Forever stamps.
Both stamps depict classic '32 Ford hot rods. One shows the car from the front at a low angle in red (pictured above), while the other depicts the car from the back in black with flames running down the side.
To introduce the new stamps on their first day of availability, the USPS went straight to the source at the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in York, PA. They were unveiled by Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe, Car Crazy host Barry Meguiar and NSRA Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy.
SEMA crowns Mustang, FR-S as this year's hottest cars in the building
Wed, 31 Oct 2012After wrapping up the first day of the 2012 SEMA Show, organizers handed out awards for some of the trendiest vehicles on display. Since the whole point of SEMA is to show off new products available in the aftermarket world for use in cars, trucks and SUVs, each year, the show distinguishes the most popular vehicle in various segments. Not surprisingly, this year's Hottest Car and Hottest Sport Compact are the Ford Mustang and Scion FR-S, respectively, while the Ford F-Series brought home the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler was named the Hottest 4x4-SUV.
More than 2,000 companies are at this year's show, and the display booths represents a "vote" for each car to determing the trendiest vehicles in each of the four categories. It isn't clear if these awards also take cars brought by OEMs into account, but the Mustang and FR-S were definitely well represented by both OEM and aftermarket show versions.
As usual, the OEMs showed up in force at the this year's SEMA Show exhibiting a variety of cars ranging from production-intent cars like the beastly Ford Mustang Cobra Jet to much flashier rides like Scion's Carbon Stealth FR-S.
