THIS T-CODE FAIRLANE CAME FROM FORD WITH NO OPTIONS AND HAS BEEN CAREFULLY AND METHODICALLY BROUGHT TO THE PRISTINE CONDITION THAT YOU SEE. THE PICTURES YOU ARE LOOKING AT, DO NOT SHOW THE TRUE CLASSIC CAR THIS IS. THIS IS FROM AN ERA OF FORD’S TRUE CLASSICS WHICH ARE DIFFICULT TO FIND.
It features a 289 V8 low-mileage engine with Shorty Headers and Flowmasters through the rear along with 2 1/4 exhaust. The brand new, mildly-built C-4 automatic transmission is an 8 Positract with 325 gear ratio which allows for a smooth ride down the road.It has tight power steering with new components and new 1970 Mustang power disc brakes. The frame connectors were custom made and installed correctly. The body work was performed flawlessly and is covered with basecoat and clearcoat. It has not been color-sanded or rubbed. The exterior is absolutely beautiful, painted using Ford White with Medium Night Mists Blue stripes. The interior is all new. The Dash cover is flawless, along with the clock, glass, stainless reveals and seams. The floors, quarter panels and other panels are too. The engine compartment, like everything else on this Fairlane, is flawless and was built with driving in mind. IT HAS BEEN CONTINUOUSLY STORED IN A CLIMATE-CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT.WE HAVE NO APOLOGIES IN OFFERING THIS VEHICLE TO THE DISCERNING COLLECTOR WHO WILL RECOGNIZE THIS AS A RECENT RESTORATION. A CLOSE PERSONAL INSPECTION OF THIS VEHICLE WILL SET THIS APART FROM ANY YOU’VE SEEN. |

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track
Sun, 10 Mar 2013We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.
Ring Brothers shows 1965-66 Mustang fastback carbon fiber body
Thu, 07 Nov 2013We covered one of Ring Brothers' more extreme SEMA builds yesterday, the De Tomaso Pantera-based ADRNLN, but if that well-executed but over-the-top Italian-American exotic is too much for you, then perhaps this Ring Brothers 1965 Ford Mustang fastback with a carbon-fiber body suits your tastes better.
What the performance-parts manufacturer is showcasing with the Mustang is the carbon-fiber body itself, which is fashioned around the 1965-66 fastback. It can be bought from the company and bonded to the skin and unibody as a do-it-yourself project, or you can take your Mustang to Ring Brothers and have the body installed there. The fenders, doors and quarter panels are two-inches wider than stock, and Ring Brothers offers a custom widebody chassis to those who want the complete package.
The show car looks sharp in person lowered on HRE wheels, and we appreciate the bare front end so we can see the supercharged V8 and front coilover suspension, though the details on those performance upgrades are slim. Also note the custom independent rear suspension setup at the rear.
Project CARS 2 is coming
Tue, Jun 23 2015It's barely been a month since we released our review on Project CARS, and already, developers Slightly Mad Studios is preparing a sequel. It'll use the same crowd-funding formula that put together such a successful game this time around. The sequel was announced on the World of Mass Development portal, the same source of crowdfunding for the first Project CARS. Among the enhancements Slightly Mad is planning, there's the usual promise of more tracks and cars, but what we're really looking forward to is the news hidden in that promise. Project CARS 2 will boast bigger, more exciting forms of racing, including rallycross. In total, there will be over "50 unique locations and 200+ courses," "8 different disciplines," and "200+ cars from over 40 different vehicle classes including never-before-seen Concepts and Banned Race Cars." Yes, this all sounds very good. Project CARS 2 will also add a new customizable test track feature, and there will be an increased emphasis on both co-op and social gameplay and "skill and behavioral-based matchmaking" in online play. The crowdfunding campaign for the new title is currently underway, although it's unclear when we'll get a planned release date. As for our own wish list, it's remarkably short. We'd like a more fully fleshed out career mode, actual vehicle upgrades and customization options, and a genuine economy would be welcomed additions. Part of the fun of racing titles is working up the coin to acquire new and exciting cars. It's not that we mind full access to the game's entire roster of vehicles, we just wish that in the career mode, there was a bit more planning and challenge to getting ahold of new racers. In short, we want the best parts of Forza Motorsport with combined with the best parts of Project CARS. Oh, and if the frame-rate issues we experienced on the Xbox One could be sorted out too. What would you like to see included in Project CARS 2? Perhaps cleaner menus? A better soundtrack? Have your say down in Comments. Until then, check out the launch announcement over at WMD.
