A true survivor of time is being auctioned here on ebay with a nominal reserve price. Anyone even remotely interested in antique and classic automobiles should go heads up on this one!
Okay, some pieces of this gem are missing, the original 292 CID V-8 has gone by the wayside as well as the original Cruise-A-Matic transmission, however, if you may have ideas of a
460 V-8 and a C-6 automatic, the drivetrain from a 1976 Lincoln Mark III is available for sale. It will be sold with a "clear" Texas Title. There is very little rust in this vehicle, I have not torn out the original rubber floor mat but from just a quick observation it appears to be minimal at most. Please pay attention to the pictures for the good and the bad features The dent on the right rear quarter panel is just that,, a dent, not rusted through!.Front windshield and rear window are in good shape,, passenger door window is broken, all remaining windows are without cracks or chips. There is no rear seat! The front seat is there and recovering or replacement will be necessary. The front grille is in exceptional condition with NO dings or dents and no rust at all. I have no idea where the park lights/turn signal lights have gone, sorry! This vehicle was originally produced with a (pink) padded dash in Kansas City. A lot of you 50's fans are going to like that option! I have VIN coded the car to obtain some of this information, you are welcome to use this website to verify it's accuracy, http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_serialno_49-59VINdecode.htm. The chrome trim on the car is in great shape and can be shined to near perfect, the windsheild trim has a few dents near the driver's side door, and there is a small corner piece missing on the left rear as indicated in the pictures. Front and rear bumpers are in very good shape with no dents or dings. Take a look at the pictures! Let the bidding begin and good luck to all that are eligible.
I report non-paying auction winners to ebay and if you don't want to buy it or cannot afford it,,please do not bid. This vehicle is not driveable! It must be picked up in Amarillo,Texas or shipped to your location. All shipping costs and expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.Seller would assist in loading only.
Payment must be in cash or Certified Bank Note as well as Pay Pal within 7 days of the end of this auction unless other arrangements are agreed upon between the parties. The vehicle will not leave the seller's premises until any form of payment has "cleared".

Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
China-market Ford Edge spotted testing in Spain with a mystery wagon
Thu, Aug 18 2022There are a few threads to put together for this one. The U.S.-market Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus have been rumored to meet their ends during the 2023 model year; contract negotiations pointed to the Oakville Assembly Plant that that builds being converted to build five Ford electric vehicles in 2025. On top of that, we've heard years of rumors about a Ford Fusion Active wagon-esque product that would challenge the Subaru Outback and fill a perceived gap in the U.S. lineup. We're not sure what the Ford vehicles in the spy shots above are, nor were the spy photographers who caught them during hot weather testing in Spain. And we mean vehicles, plural, details like the side mirror attachment points, DRL signatures, rear bumpers and muffler orientations pointing to these being two products. Here are our guesses. One of them is almost certainly the new Ford Edge that will debut soon for the Chinese market (above and below). Motor1 saw that the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published photos of that country's newest Edge in two configurations, a lesser trim that can seat five or seven, and a top trim that seats seven only. The camouflaged car in the gallery above with the mirrors that mount on the door would be the same vehicle. The headlights on the China-market Edge feature the same central, stacked DRLs instead of the single lower and side DRLs of the other vehicle. The taillights are temporary units, but they match the squared vertical design of the new crossover. And the rear bumper of the Chinese Edge features the same slanted cutout in the middle, and beneath that, the same enormous muffler on the driver's side of the car. Look more closely, and one can also spot the way the sheetmetal flicks up at the C-pillar then descends to the D-pillar. Engineers tried to hide it with camo, but it's there. Ford Authority believes the other vehicle, the one with the side mirrors mounted at the base of the A-pillar, could be a new Lincoln Nautilus. Ford's Changan Hangzhou plant in China builds the Edge and its sister Lincoln product for that market. Although both are presumed to be headed for the grave here, one is clearly carrying on over there, so there's no reason to believe the other wouldn't as well.    The big mystery is whether one of these is the Ford Fusion Active. Well, a bigger mystery would be to figure out if the Fusion Active is even a thing anymore, or if we — including Ford — collectively imagined it.
Ken Block's 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR and CR Supercars Villain are retro done right
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Gymkhana king Ken Block has had a pretty simple car history in his trademark videos, starting out with Subaru Impreza rally cars before moving into Ford Focus racers for the past four installments. His next video, though, Gymkhana Seven, kind of goes back in time.
Rather than the cutting-edge rally racers of past videos, Block will pilot a heavily modified 1965 Ford Mustang, called the Hoonicorn. How heavily modified is it? Well, Block's Hooligan Racing Division, ASD Motorsports and Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR, spent two years working on it, ditching the standard engine and rear-wheel-drive layout and replacing it with a 410-cubic-inch Roush Yates V8. Yes, that's a NASCAR engine, and it produces 845 horsepower.
A NASCAR-powered Mustang would be news in itself, but it's the other powertrain changes made by Block and Co. that really makes headlines. Power is channeled through a one-off Sadev transmission and all-wheel-drive system, meaning that Block has basically married a NASCAR stock car with a WRC racer. ASD also developed the customized suspension, tubular chassis and roll cage. The wide Mustang body is the work of RTR and Block's own Hoonigan Racing Division, while the 18-inch fifteen52 wheels are shod in Pirelli Trofeo R tires that use a specialized compound exclusive to Block.
