2005 - Ford F-450 on 2040-cars
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
Selling my 2005 F-450 Custom. Bought this as a cab and chassis and put the boxes on it. The front box is just over 2 feet long. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and have done tons of upgrades to the truck. It has a BulletProofDiesel EGR cooler, new EGR valve, new Ford oil cooler, Sinister Diesel coolant filter, Edge Juice With Attitude CTS with EGT, and 4" exhaust. All other engine upgrades done. Has new dummy plugs and stand pipes, upgraded turbo feed and drain lines, STC replacement, and blue spring. Also has upgraded turbo with billet wheel and Air Raid Intake. New injectors at 170k. Oil changes are done every 5k with 5w40 Rotella T Synthetic, fuel filters as well. Transmission fluid, ELC coolant, power steering fluid, and diffs have new synthetic fluid. Tires in rear are brand new, tires in front are 75%. Front brakes are new, rears are good. New shocks as well. Belt is new, and stator is deleted to make for easy work on the engine. Clear cab lights, and rear fender markers. 08+ Mirrors and tail lights. Everything on the truck works as it should, no problems at all. Edge tuner really adds some power, and this thing tows like nothing else. Interior is in good shape too. Leather seats, manual shift 4x4, power everything, keyless entry too. Has custom built B&W turnover hitch in the box, and class IV hitch as well. Upfitter switches, and integrated brake controller. Think I covered all the options and work done to it. This is a solid and reliable 6.0, it's been well taken care of. The truck has no rust or major damage. Just some normal scratched and bumps from age. The brush guard is getting rusty, but could be redone still without issues. Has two gas tanks and about 60 lbs capacity. One fills in the back of the box. The little box filler is not used.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
Weekly Recap: Jaguar takes a leap with price cut, new strategy
Sat, Sep 5 2015Jaguar was one of the famous automotive props and plotlines in the now-iconic drama Mad Men. There's a scene where the show's protagonist, Don Draper, deftly undercuts an influential Jaguar dealer by indicating that get-me-in-the-door local radio spots would be an effective way to sell cars like the slinky E-Type. The British executives think this is folly – Draper knows they will – and his advertising strategy wins out over the dealer's approach to move the metal. Jaguar's not doing that, but half a century later in the real world the company is launching plans to make its cars more attainable to new and younger customers like Millenials. These aren't coupons, but this is a leap for Jaguar, which has long banked on sexy styling and its rich motorsports history to overshadow its past mechanical flaws. Put simply, Jaguar is addressing the reasons why people, especially the younger set, don't buy its cars. The 2017 XE will start at $35,895 when it launches next spring – which makes it an attractive buy for a successful, relatively young person. When it's time to move up, the redesigned XF will be more attainable, coming in at $52,895, which is $5,275 less than the 2015 model. The flagship XJ sedan and the enthusiast-oriented F-Type sports car will also get thousands of dollars worth of added standard features, and Jag is actively pitching them as a better value than their competitors. "The Jaguar brand is on the eve of a major transformation that will see it dramatically increase its presence in the United States luxury marketplace with an expanded lineup, pricing focused on the core of the luxury market, and an all-new ownership package with best-in-class coverage," Joe Eberhardt, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, said in a statement. The brand's quality and reliability dings have also lurked in the back of buyers' minds for decades, though that's an outdated notion. Jaguar placed third in J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study in June and was the top-ranked luxury brand in J.D. Power's Customer Service Index in March. Not content, the company is rolling out an enhanced program called Jaguar EliteCare that launches on 2016 models. It offers a five-year, 60,000-mile limited warranty, the longest among its competitors, with free scheduled maintenance during that period. The plan also covers roadside assistance and connectivity features.
Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
