IT IS A SELF LOADER! THE TRUCK HAS NEW GLOBES ON A SIX STROBE BAR WITH FLASHER IN CENTER, TAKE DOWNS, FOUR REAR MOUNTED KC LIGHTS, A REAR VIEW CAMERA FOR LOADING EASILY IN THE NIGHT, AND 10 SWITCHES TO CONTROL ALL THE LIGHT FUNCTIONS. tHE HEADUNIT IS A FLIPOUT, AND HAS GPS NAVIGATION FOR ALL OF USA, BLUETOOTH, REAR VIEW CAMERA, AND DVD PLAYER. THIS HAS NEW POWER MIRRORS ON THE SIDE AND RUNNING BOARDS, NEW SILL PLATES AND RUBBER FLOORMATS. IT HAS A BENCH IN IT AND i HAVE TWO BUCKETS AND A CONSOLE THAT CAN GO ALSO, THERE IS A FOUR PLACE CIGARETTE POWER PACK, AND AN AUXILARY FOR THE RADIO/SCREEN(LIKE FOR XBOX). THE HEADLINER IS GREAT AND DOES NOT SAG. THE A/C IS ICE COLD ALSO, ALL THE GAUGES AND LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THERE IS A WHELEN STROBE SETUP IN THE HEADLIGHTS AND REVERSE LIGHTS ALSO. PTO IS AN ELECTRIC SWITCH DRIVEN OFF THE CRANK. AS FOR THE ENGINE, THE TURBO AND PEDESTAL WAS REPLACED LESS THAN 200 MILES AGO, I HAVE RECEIPTS. ALL EIGHT INJECTORS, AND V/C GASKETS AND GLOW PLUGS AND HARNESSES WERE REPLACED WITH THE TURBO, I HAVE RECEIPTS WITH A 6 MONTH WARRANTY ON THEM. THE ICM WAS REPLACED AND FLASHED ABOUT 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE TURBO WAS DONE. THE PAINT IS NEW BASECOAT/CLEARCOAT ( NOT SINGLE STAGE!). THERE IS NO VINYL OR LETTERING ON THE TRUCK. THE TWO FRONT STEER TIRES ARE BRAND NEW. THE REARS ARE STILL DOT APPROVED SPLIT MUD/STREET TREADS. THERE IS A NEW 4 INCH TURBO BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM ON IT. THE ECM AND IBM HAVE STOCK TUNES IN THEM. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT AND MADE READY FOR MY REPAIR SHOP TO MAKE SOME MONEY, BUT BOTH FORT MYERS CITY AND CAPE CORAL CITY WILL NOT GRANT ME RIGHTS TO TOW INSIDE CITY LIMITS( WHICH IS WHERE MY SHOPS ARE LOCATED). i HAVE WELL OVER 6500 JUST IN PARTS AFTER I ALREADY BOUGHT THE TRUCK. I DID NOT WANT IT TO BREAK DOWN, AND WANTED FAST, TROUBLE FREE  TOWS. THERE IS ALSO TWO GO JACKS INCLUDED AND A WIRELESS TOW BAR, AS WELL AS FOUR RATCHETS AND 6 OR 8 WHEEL STRAPS. THIS IS A GREAT TRUCK FOR REPO!!! THE BRAKES ARE ALSO BRAND NEW. FRONT AND REAR ROTORS AND PADS, WAGNER SEVERE DUTY. THE OIL AND TRANSMISSION  AND REAR END FLUIDS WERE ALL JUST CHANGED, THE STEERING IS TIGHT WITH NO LEAKS ANYWHERE! THIS WILL NOT OVERHEAT OR CAUSE ANY ISSUES FOR YOUR COMPANY. The 2021 F-150 elevates Ford's bed game

Fri, Jun 26 2020

The new 2021 Ford F-150 is ushering in a new era of pickup capability, but there's more to it than the introduction of the PowerBoost hybrid. While that new powertrain is certainly the truck's headlining element, the supporting electrical architecture enables a level of utility that hasn't been offered in past consumer half-tons. The true party trick is Ford's new "Pro Power Onboard" feature, which is essentially a built-in generator that provides juice for the 2021 F-150's rather robust in-bed power station. This system is available even on gasoline-engine models, but its utility is maximized with the electrified powertrain. ICE models equipped with the option max out at 2.0 kilowatts, while the PowerBoost hybrid can be had with either a 2.4- or a whopping 7.2-kilowatt inverter.  The idea here is that the F-150 can essentially stand in for a high-output portable generator. In a worksite example provided by Ford, a PowerBoost model with the 7.2-kW upgrade and a single tank of fuel could provide 32 hours of power for an 1,800-watt compound miter saw, a 1,000W circular saw, a 1,200W battery charger, a 1,200W hammer drill, and a 1,000W air compressor with hundreds of watts to spare for lighting and other accessories. But even without the Pro Power Onboard option, Ford's new bed setup enables more versatility than in previous models. The new Tailgate Work Surface option adds a flat work area with integrated rulers, recesses for pencils or small tools, and even a stand for a personal device.  Ford is neither the first to offer an auxiliary power outlet in a half-ton pickup bed, nor was Ford the first to introduce a more feature-rich tailgate. GMC's MultiPro tailgate was a major innovation on that front, and while it is geared mostly toward improving the cargo utility of the bed, it can also be customized with 12-volt power and even an accessory speaker system. The Ram 1500 is also offered with both a multi-function tailgate and AC power in the bed, though the latter option is limited to models with the RamBox cargo package.  As half-ton pickups approach levels of towing and hauling capability that begin to blur lines with heavy-duty offerings, it's clear that automakers are looking for ways to differentiate themselves without stepping on their own bigger trucks' toes. These new bed and tailgate innovations may yet be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to full-size pickup versatility. Related Video:

Ford, Volvo top 2014 EyesOn Design awards

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

Each year at the Detroit Auto Show, the top vehicle designs are recognized with the prestigious EyesOn Design award for production and concept vehicles. This year, the 32 EyesOn Design judges (comprised of current and former vehicle designers including Chrysler designer and SRT president Ralph Gilles, Kia designer Peter Schreyer and retired General Motors designer Wayne Cherry) handed out three awards for the Best Concept Vehicle, Best Production Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials.
Beating out the Mercedes C-Class and Ford F-150, the 2015 Ford Mustang was named the Best Production Vehicle as the top auto show debut at this year's Detroit show. The 2014 Volvo Concept XC Coupe took home awards as the Best Concept Vehicle and for its Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials.
Considering the Volvo's primer grey hue and subtle orange accents, it was a rather surprising winner for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials over flashier concepts like the Toyota FT-1 and our Editors' Choice top pick, the Kia GT4 Stinger. Other vehicles in the running for the concept car award include the GT4 Stinger and Audi Allroad Shooting Brake

Translogic 174: Ford envisions the future of parking

Tue, Apr 14 2015

Translogic visits Georgia Tech for a glimpse at the future of parking. First, we demo the Ford remote parking program by driving a golf cart around campus from the comfort of an off-site lab; think of remote parking as a virtual valet. Then we see how Ford's "parking spotter" works, a crowd-sourced way of finding an open space. Along the way, Translogic host Jonathon Buckley chats with Ford's global director of vehicle electrification and infrastructure, who explains how these innovative parking concepts could help us get around more efficiently. Have an RSS feed? Click here to add Translogic. Follow Translogic on Twitter and Facebook. Click here to learn more about our host, Jonathon Buckley. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Jonathon: You turn the wheel and the cart turns the wheel because we've got to remember that the carts 150 meters down that way. I should use yards because I'm not in Australia any more. Welcome to Translogic. I'm Jonathon Buckley. Every year in this country we spend over 70 million hours looking for parking. We think that's a pretty miserable way to spend that time but Ford Motor Company and Georgia Tech have taken this problem head on by developing a parking spotter experiment and some pretty cool remote driving functions to go with it. When it comes to remote vehicle repositioning, you guys have been so far using golf carts?Mike: That's right.Jonathon: What's the goal with this type of technology?Mike: As you probably know, car sharing is becoming one of the emerging trends in mobility. With that, any type of sharing program that we looked at around the world, one of the common challenges it has is that during the end of the day, or the nighttime hours, there's something that has to happen to get all the assets back to where they need to be for the next day. Cell phone technology and broadband technologies have advanced so far that we can remotely control a vehicle from anywhere it the world. For example, we could actually take this and create a virtual valet. You and your significant other pull up to, say, a restaurant. You could potentially get out of the vehicle and then the call center could take your vehicle and park it for you. You wouldn't need to do anything [00:02:00] else other than arrive at the restaurant.Jonathon: The whole thing's pretty intuitive. It works exactly as you imagine a golf cart would work. The only difference that there really is is there's just a little bit of latency that you have to account for.
