THIS TRUCK WAS DRIVEN BY A ELECTRICIAN SERVICE TECH AND HE WAS AN OLDER GENTLEMAN THAT DROVE "NORMAL" JUST LIKE IT WAS HIS OWN TRUCK. IT WAS SERVICED ON A REGULAR BASIS AND WASHED WEEKLY. IT WAS KEPT INSIDE A BIG SHOP EVERY NIGHT. SEE PICTURE OF THE LOW MILEAGE FOR THIS 2001 7.3 TURBO DIESEL. I USED THIS TRUCK AND IT DOES NOT USE OR LEAK OIL. IT DRIVES AND RUNS VERY STRONG. THE AC BLOWS COLD, I INCLUDED A PICTURE OF THE COLD AND WET A/C LINE WHILE IT WAS RUNNING. ALL GAUGES AND SWITCHES WORK AS THEY SHOULD. IT HAS AN ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROLLER FOR TRAILER BRAKES. THE UTILITY BOX HAS WHITE RHINO COVER ALL OVER WITH BLACK RHINO ON THE TOPS AND BED. IT LOOKS GREAT !!!!!! I ALSO TOOK A PICTURE OF THE ROOF TO SHOW NO RUST. THE TIRES ARE GOOD CONDITION, ABOUT 80% TO 90 % OF LIFE REMAINING. IT HAS A PLATE COVER IN THE BED THAT CAN BE REMOVED TO INSTALL A MOUNT FOR A BUCKET LIFT AND A SQUARE POCKET ON THE TAIL BOARD FOR THE BUCKET TO REST-ON. **** NOW FOR THE LITTLE THINGS ***** IT HAS SMALL STREAK MARKS ON PASSENGER DOOR AND FENDER ALMOST NOT NOTICEABLE AND CAN POSSIBLY BE RUBBED OUT. THE ONLY RUST ON THE TRUCK IS ON ONE (1) UTILITY DOOR HANDLES AS SHOW IN PICTURES. THE SEAT HAS A SMALL CRACK BUT IS NOT A HOLE YET. THE TIRE TOOLS ARE ABOVE THE RADIATOR BUT THERE IS NO JACK BEHIND THE SEAT.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part one
Sat, Jun 18 2016We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice with a profanity-laden stream-of-consciousness writing style. Parker lives in Hawaii and spends far more time spearfishing than behind the wheel of a car. Jump ahead to Part Two here, and Part Three here. Big Money and billionaire hobbyists and rockets on wheels. Jets belching French color smoke overhead. Balance of power fuckery. Plenty of water on the ground this morning. Absurdly expensive motorcars lined up in the pissing rain. Fast twitch lunatics behind the wheel. Chomping at the bit. Let's go let's go let's go! Race hasn't even started, Ford #67 maybe dealing with clutch issues. Karma? That beautiful bastard Brad Pitt's out on the track, waving the tricolor flag. It's a standing start in "Noah's Ark" weather and the 2016 24 hours of Le Mans is go! First lap takes place behind the safety car, finished in a record setting 8 minutes 27 seconds. Wrong kind of record maybe, but this is the first time I've set my mind to watching the whole damn race. Feel like I'm part of history. 3:00 AM on Kauai, a little too early for life. Sucking down coffee like a maniac. Don't fall back asleep. Got my hands on four hours of rest, how much more can I need? Better be enough for the next twenty four hours. Gonna get kinda punchy toward the end. Jason Statham on the scene. Four feet of solid muscle, non-existent hairline. Lovely wife peanut gallery sitting next to me calls him the "best race car drive in the world." Not sure if she's serious. Toss up, could go either way. Statham's a funny guy. Heir to the Bruce Willis comedy action crown. Really good in the movie where the fat comedy lady plays a spy. Ford's on the road. Problems with gearbox pressure, apparently. Nearing a half hour in and the safety car is still on the track. Hellish amounts of water on the ground, in the air. Visibility is garbage. Getting better. Twitter wags, "Not with a bang but a whimper." Just building suspense. Mother Nature felt like killing some people today, race officials need to dial back the drivers until it dries a tad. Normal inclination would've seen 'em flying, guaranteed early lap wrecks. Sad news for that bloodthirsty part of my lizard brain I try and keep suppressed. Good news for humanity. #12 in the pit for a bit.
Ford celebrates 1 millionth Mustang built at Flat Rock
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Yesterday, the Ford Mustang turned 49 years old, and Ford didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate the one millionth version of the Mustang rolling off the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly plant. Production of the Mustang at Flat Rock coincided with the fifth-generation design launching in 2004, and the one millionth car was the car shown above, a 2014 GT convertible painted in Ruby Red.
In total, Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs since the original car went on sale, but some of the key milestones over the car's nine years at Flat Rock include the Shelby GT-H, Bullitt, Boss 302 and, of course, the 662-horsepower Shelby GT500. Scroll down for a press release celebrating Flat Rock's milestone Mustang.
FBI Seizes Computers, Listening Devices From Ford Headquarters
Fri, Jul 25 2014FBI agents searched Ford Motor Company's headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, this month as part of an investigation into possible corporate espionage. Eight devices, along with documents, computers and financial records, were among the items seized by federal agents on July 11, according to documents obtained by The Detroit News. The FBI searched Leach's home on June 20 and seized more than two dozen items in that search, Reuters reported. Former engineer Sharon Leach, a 17-year Ford veteran of company, was fired last month, according to The News, which first reported the story. She admitted to placing recording devices under conference tables before meetings. She told Ford security she used the recordings to assist in her meeting notes. She couldn't remove the devices after meetings without drawing attention to herself, leaving the devices to record other meetings. Leach has not been charged for any wrongdoing. Former federal prosecutor and Wayne State University law professor Peter Henning told The News that using a search warrant, rather than a subpoena, shows the FBI suspects more employees could be implicated. "If it's an economic espionage case or trade-secrets case, that rarely involves one individual," Henning told The Detroit News. "So the concern is if you send a subpoena and ask for recording devices, those things can be erased." Leach, Ford and the FBI declined to comment on the investigation.
