1995 Ford F350 Dually, Diesel, Flatbed 4x4 on 2040-cars
Redding, Connecticut, United States

No Reserve! For sale is our 1995 F350 dually. This is an XL model, 4 wheel drive with dual rear tires. 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engine with E4OD 4 speed automatic transmission. 2 Speed transfer case with manual hubs. This truck also has a 9' steel flatbed with headboard, and a Diamond fixed mount plow system, with a 9' western plow. This truck starts, runs and drives as it should to the best of our knowledge. It starts with no problem in the cold, and blows heat well. The tires are about 50-60% on the front, 80%+ on the rear. All steel rims. The trucks runs well, with plenty of power, the transmission shifts well, with no issue. Transfer case works as it should as well. The exterior sheet metal is in good shape, with the exception of the left cab corner, which is starting to rust on it's back edges. The truck has newer fenders and a newer passenger door. There is some rust under the cab, and a partial patch on the drivers floor. The truck frame has scale on it, but is solid overall. The steel flatbed has some rust underneath, and a few holes in the bed itself. It is a FIXED bed; it does not dump. It does have a 2" receiver on the back. The interior is in decent shape, with only one small cut in the dash on the passenger side. The driver's side of the bench seat does have wear/ tear on the edge. It is not seen in the pictures. NO AC, NO Power windows/ locks etc. The truck originally had twin fuel tanks, but the forward tank had been removed prior to use taking possession of it. All of the electronics and lines are still there, as is the functioning selector switch in the cab. The plow that comes with it is worn, and needs some attention, but works. I should also note the original rear skid plate/ fuel tank cover has been removed, and galvanized straps secure the tank. Overall this truck isn't bad for 19 years old. It's not perfect; It needs TLC to be 100%, but has a lot of life in it. The engine hasn't even gotten started yet. A great truck to restore and drive. Feel free to ask questions, or come out and see it. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction ending. Balance due when truck is picked up, Cash or bank check is preferred. I will NOT ship, but will assist where I can. The truck is for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end the auction early! NO WARRANTY! |

10 most memorable cars and SUVs of 2019
Tue, Dec 24 2019It's no surprise that a car reviewer will drive a large number of cars over the course of a year. Indeed, when the clock strikes midnight on Dec 31, I will have driven 75 new cars, trucks and SUV this year (and one old Peugeot) over the course of weekly evaluation loans and first drive events. That sure seems like a lot. Some definitely got more attention than others, and some came and went without leaving much of an impression – I completely forgot I drove a Kia Forte. Yet in the spirit of this day, I thought I'd pick the 10 that I would love to see under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning. You know, just in case you were looking to get me something. I'll also throw in a couple disappointments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. They'd get sent back to the store on Boxing Day. Lexus LC 500 Pictured below and resplendent in its Flare Yellow metallic paint, the car that would reach highest on my list is the divine Lexus LC 500. As a devout lover of GT cars, the LC ticks all the boxes. Muscular and characterful engine? V8, check. Beautifully made and memorable interior? It's gorgeous, to hell with Remote Touch. Check. Comfortable and reasonably practical? Superb seats and, uh, yeah. Makes me want to stand there and stare at it? You bet. Though I long figured my heart would say LC but my head "Porsche 911," after this go-around, that's no longer the case. LC, pretty please. 2020-lexus-lc500-f34-2 View 19 Photos Polestar 1 I actually feel lucky that I got to drive the Polestar 1. Only 150 will be produced each year, and it's a far more special thing than it would initially appear. And that's despite initially appearing to be a beautiful, classic two-door GT car with a roof so rakish it's only possible because it's made of carbon fiber. That itÂ’s a massively powerful plug-in hybrid with more all-electric range than any other PHEV is a thick dollop of whipped cream on a slice of Toscakaka. You know, Swedish dessert, Swedish car. Fine, I'll stick to Ikea references. Polestar1_Launch_SanFrancisco-0014 View 44 Photos Volvo V60 Cross Country Speaking of Sweden, did I drive this car off the road there? Sure did! And despite this, the V60 Cross Country scratches that certain wagon itch and looks sensational to boot. I wish it were available with the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it's best not to get greedy at Christmas.
Mark LaNeve named head of Ford US sales and marketing
Thu, Jan 8 2015Ford continues to rework the positions of its top marketing executives as Jim Farley moves to take over the Blue Oval in Europe and Stephen Odell becomes head of global sales. The latest shift brings Mark LaNeve in as the new vice president of US marketing, sales, service and dealer relations, effective February 1. LaNeve replaces John Felice, who is retiring. Felice was with the automaker for the last 30 years and held his most recent job since November of 2013. In addition to coordinating marketing and sales, LaNeve's other duty is to build "innovative new digital communications and transforming the retail experience for customers," according to the automaker's press release announcing the change. He reports to both Odell and Joe Hinrichs, Ford's boss of the Americas. LaNeve has a long history in the auto industry. He spent a portion of his early career with Cadillac but eventually was hired as the CEO of Volvo Cars North America. He also headed up US marketing at General Motors for several years in the 2000s. Since 2012, LaNeve has been the chief operating officer at Global Ford Team, which is responsible for the company's worldwide advertising. There's an interesting challenge ahead of LaNeve in leading the Blue Oval's US marketing and sales in 2015. Ford was the bestselling auto brand here in 2014 but overall sales fell about 1.1 percent. According to Automotive News, the company's market share dropped to 14.9 percent, a one-percent reduction and the lowest level since 2008. Read below for the automaker's official announcement of LaNeve's new job. China's woes sandbag Detroit automakers
Sun, Jul 19 2015Through the first six months of this year, China's auto market is actually up 8.4 percent from the same period in 2014. Still, automakers aren't optimistic after June's 3.2 percent dip in year-over-year sales. Last month marked the first drop in China since February 2013, and the decline could extend through the coming months, which is a concern according to a number of analysts. In Detroit, General Motors might take the brunt of the damage, but Ford could feel some heat too. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is already responding to the June dip by predicting annual sales to grow only three percent this year, rather than seven percent that had been predicted earlier in the year, according to The Detroit News. Ford and GM will both release their second quarter earnings before the end of July, and those figures will give the industry a much better idea about the automakers' performance in China. Due to China's massive growth, both Ford and GM have made significant investments there. In 2014, GM announced $14 billion to make the country a focal point, including a goal of 5 million annual sales. Ford, for its part, opened 88 new Chinese dealers in one day alone last year. It has also been working to grow Lincoln since the brand's launch in 2014.The Detroit News took a much deeper look into Detroit's exposure in China, with the overall gist being that we're all uncertain about how things are going to shake out. Some industry analysts feel this is just a temporary blip, while other are much more worried. If you have any interest in the auto market there or its affect on the Big Three, the piece is well worth a read.
