THIS TRUCK HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE BELL HOUSING. THE BOLT HOLES ARE STRIPPED OUT OR DAMAGED IN SOME WAY WHERE THE STARTER MOUNTS. AS A RESULT THE TRANSMISSION IS REMOVED AND SITS IN THE BACK OF THIS WORK TRUCK. IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND THE MOTOR AND TRANS ARE ALL WORKING WELL. THE BODY ONLY HAS SOME SMALL SCRATCHES OR DENTS BUT IS ALL STRAIGHT. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GET IT ON THE ROAD AGAIN THAT WILL WORK OUT EASILY OR PARTS IT OUT. Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect

The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.

Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
