This truck is a beast!

I have owned it for the past 6 years and just used it as the farm truck (just driving a few miles down the road to pick up hay and feed every couple of weeks). I have had the truck regularly serviced over the past 6 years and it just had a major service in January 2014. It has maybe been driven 6 or 7 times since then.

Riding on 285/75R16s with GREAT tread on all 4. I have never had this truck let me down - starts first time, every time!

White exterior - their is a dent in the door and also in the side fender (as photographed)

Dual exhaust - it used to have 2 gas tanks but somebody "permanently borrowed" one of the tanks! So, the fuel gauge does not work as it was probably hooked up to the tank that went for a walk!!

Interior is dry and clean with automatic gear, 4x4, am/fm stereo (it works), roll up windows, manual locks. Interior is blue.

Truck has a 5.8L, V8 EFI engine (gasoline)

Exactly as photographed. The only reason the check engine light is on is because I only turned the key in the ignition, I did not start the truck. There are no warning lights on when the truck is running!

Only selling as the truck is just sitting there and not being used!

Ford ditching Microsoft in favor of BlackBerry QNX for next-gen Sync?

Ask the average consumer - at least, those who follow the goings-on in the automotive industry - which carmaker they'd most closely associate Microsoft, and the answer you'd most likely get would be Ford. The Blue Oval automaker, after all, was at the forefront of bringing Microsoft technology into cars with its pioneering Sync system, and, though reality didn't turn out as such, Ford's CEO was recently touted as a potential future head of the Redmond-based software giant. But that relationship, according to the latest reports, could be coming to an end.
Alan Mullaly kiboshed the idea of leaving Dearborn for Redmond, but more importantly Ford is tipped to be ditching Microsoft in developing its next-generation Sync system. In its place, Ford is expected to partner with BlackBerry's QNX division.
Now, before you go balking "BlackBerry?! But they're finished!" consider that QNX is (or at least was) an independent entity that Research In Motion (as BlackBerry's Ontario-based parent company was then known) just happened to have bought back in 2010. QNX provides control systems to everything from nuclear power plants and UAVs to automakers like Audi, BMW and Porsche.

Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Vaughn Gittin Jr. spends a great deal of his workday going sideways, but he's usually alone in the endeavor. For a guy that is clearly a dog lover, we imagine that can get a bit lonely.
That won't be a problem for Gittin in this latest video, which features the racer hanging out with his good pal Brody (a dog) and everyone's favorite hot hatch, the Ford Fiesta ST.
