2011 F150 Platinum EcoBoost. This is a perfect running Truck that has zero issues. The only reason for selling is we are buying a house and I have to get rid of this expensive payment. I am the second owner and I bought it when the truck had 11,000 miles on it for 46,000. I have had the truck for 2.5 years and It now has 66,500 miles on the truck and are mainly freeway miles as I commute for work. The truck is completely stock, and has never had any aftermarket parts installed - except the headlights which are still on the truck. they are just the dark tinted ones as you can see in the pics. The tail lights are the factory ford 2013 tail lights. The truck also has the factory Ford Rear DVD Entertainment system which is amazing and works great. Interior is the Sienna Brown leather with heated and air conditioned leather seats, and heated seats in the rear. The truck will also come with the rubber Husky floor mats. Factory Bed liner and bed extender are also equipped. The only flaws on the truck are pictured and the wheels are all good except one has some curb rash. a few of the wheels are also starting to have the clear coat peel but do not have any dings or dents and are are in good condition. It is a Platinum so it has every feature that you can think of, LED lighting through out the truck, auto deploying running boards, sun roof, 8" Nav screen. This really is a great truck and I have never had an issue with it, not one. Last full oil change and Ford check was 1,000 miles ago. Please let me know if there are any questions. Tires still have about 6/32's left, and brakes have about 15,000 miles left on them. Spark plugs were changed at 30,000 even though Ford doesn't change them till 100,000 which is the next actual full maintenance due. NO RESERVE Note: about two days ago a rock flew up and put a nice crack in the windshield. Will take off 400 of the final sale price so buyer can get windshield replaced. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions. I will fully assist in any shipping procedures and I can be available anytime. Or if you want to fly in and drive back I can meet at the Midland airport. The truck is currently in Midland TX, but I live in Odessa, TX. * you can also message me with your email for some additional pics as ebay would only let me upload 24. I have additional pics of the back seat and rear DVD areas and factory LED's in the truck at night.

The big dune jump and the damage done

Mon, 20 May 2013

The Silver Lake sand dunes see their fair share of well-built trophy trucks executing impressive jumps. Drivers build insane pieces of machinery for the express purpose of sailing through the air like mad men and women.
Mike Higgins is no stranger to the area. His heavily modified Ford trophy truck has gone flying through the sky on more than one occasion, but he recently bit off more than he could chew. After hitting a particularly lofty dune, Higgins went airborne for a ridiculous 180 feet before becoming intimately familiar with the finer points of gravity.
While Higgins nailed the jump, his landing fell short of wowing the judges. The impact very nearly broke his truck in two. Despite the mechanical mayhem, the driver walked away without a scratch, proving that occasionally miracles really do happen. You can check out the jump and the subsequent destruction below for yourself. Be warned: there's a fair bit of foul language.

Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.

J Mays on the 2015 Ford Mustang

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

J Mays, head of design at Ford, may be retiring from the company after 16 years, but not before showing the world his swan song: the 2015 Mustang. Ford officially revealed its new coupe and convertible to the public at events around the world on Thursday, including a live unveiling on ABC's Good Morning America, and Mays was in attendance at the automaker's home event in Dearborn, MI, which is where we caught up with him for a few words about his new baby.
"It's a joy" to design the Mustang, Mays told Autoblog, adding that this sixth-generation coupe is his "favorite design so far." Of course, the 2015 model takes cues from all of the generations that came before it, but Mays said it was important to edit down the specific elements from previous models, leaving just enough off to let the customer "participate and fill in the blanks."
"If it doesn't sell itself, you probably aren't a Mustang fan."
