I have a 2000 Ford F-150 Lightning with 118,000 miles on it. It is in Excellent condition. It has a brand new transmission with 2600 stall converter. It was built by Transmission Specialists in machesney park, IL. The transmission has high performance Sonnax clutches and band as well as a shift kit. The 4R100transmission cost over $3k.  Yes, I have the reciept.  According to dealer records, the engine was changed in 2004, so in a very conservative estimate, the engine has about 90,000 miles on it. The spark plugs were just changed.  There is a scratch above the driver's rear wheel opening and a 1 inch hole in the bumper that somthing poked through, it has touch up paint on it to keep from rusting.  Otherwise, it is a rust free vehicle.
The following modifications include
4lb lower pulley
2.9" upper pulley--together make about 16lb of boost
C&L Intake
ported throttle body
C&L upper plenum
Ported supercharger
Lightning Force Performance intercooler
Aafco heat exchanger with fans
Accel coils (minus one that crapped out, I put a stocker on there and it comes with the other 7 stock coils)
L&S Oil Separator
Kooks long tube stainless steel headers
Catco high flow stainless catalytic converters
Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust
Hellwig front and rear sway bars
All steering components are new and the truck has a fresh alignment as well as new shocks all around
New Powerslot slotted rotors and ceramic pads and just new pads on the back, brake system was just bled
The rear end has fresh fluid and a T/A girdle
Covering the bed is a factory tonneau cover
The bedliner is a Bedrug brand
The EGR is deleted, so the Check engine light is on
Also comes with an SCT tuner

The battery has been relocated to right in front of the rear bumper, yes, it is secure there.
For those of you for numbers, it's stock from the factory with 360HP, so add 6lb of boost and some other modifications and it probably comes a little over 400. The Nitto drag radials prevent the tires from going up in smoke from a standstill.  No, I haven't beat the hell out of this truck, but anyone who tells you their 400hp vehicle was "babied" is a liar.  No one buys cars or trucks like this just to piddle around.  No, it doesn't smoke, no I didn't do burnouts with it all day, yes, it's been leaned on.  Yes, it starts, runs, and drives well reliably.

Call, text, or email for any questions
thanks,
Dan

Oh, free extra stuff, too.  a 2 gallon intercooler reservior, a 5 gallon intercooler reservior, new spicer upper control arms with polyurethane bushings, a polyurethane bushing kit for the whole truck, the stock upper plenum, all the EGR stuff, the factory lower pulley, a 100mm idler pulley, all the factory battery brackets in case you don't want it in the back anymore, a 90mm C&L MAF, another air filter, and a set of tires with 70% tread, one of 'em looks like a rat got to some of the tread, but it still rides fine, no belts or anything showing.

Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?

Sun, Jul 9 2023

The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric.  Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands.  If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla.  Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor.  Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have:  Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.

Ford sued by Versata over alleged software trade secret theft

Thu, Jul 16 2015

Automakers are routinely subject to intellectual property and patent disputes, whether over design similarities or pieces of tech. Ford is now facing a lawsuit for alleged IP theft over a piece of software from a company called Versata, and the business wants $1 billion from the Blue Oval for the violation. With such huge amount of money at stake, the legal situation is already getting complicated. According to The Detroit Free Press, Versata's software is designed to help automakers improve product development by making sure all of a car's countless components work together. The company and Ford had a contract for the system for many years, and they were negotiating an extension at the end of 2014. However, the deal fell through, and the Blue Oval ended the two business' arrangement. Making the legal situation especially tricky is that Ford developed and patented its own software for the same task. The automaker then filed a lawsuit in Michigan to have the court check whether the program violated Versata's IP, according to The Detroit Free Press. Later, the software company registered a lawsuit in Texas and alleged the Blue Oval stole proprietary code. Versata has asked for an injunction against Ford and restitution. "Ford's patented software does not use or infringe any Versata intellectual property and Versata has provided no basis for their claims against us," the automaker said in a statement to Autoblog. "We are confident that we will ultimately prevail in this case and we look forward to the opportunity to present our evidence at trial." With both sides in dispute, that leaves Ford pushing for a hearing in Michigan and Versata for Texas. According to The Detroit Free Press, it could be at least a year before a trial, if not longer. Of course in the meantime, the two sides could conceivably reach a settlement, and the whole issue would disappear.

Ford making Fusion production moves to challenge Camry on volume

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The Ford Fusion may already beat the Toyota Camry in terms of models offered, transaction price and sales increase so far this year, but if the Fusion wants to make a run at the title of best-selling car in the US, Bloomberg reminds us that volume is key. Opening a second production line at the Flat Rock, MI assembly plant will reportedly allow Ford to produce around 350,000 Fusions annually, which compares Toyota's ability to crank out 475,000 Camrys and Honda's capacity to build around 450,000 Accords.
For the Fusion, that's an extra 100,000 units compared to the car's current pace, and the article adds that the Fusion is "Ford's best shot" to regain the passenger car sales crown - a title it (or any other US automaker, for that matter) hasn't held since the mid-1990s. Despite hiccups with recalls and fuel economy numbers, the Ford Fusion is still red hot when it comes to sales. Fusion sales are up 13 percent so far this year (compared to a 0.6 percent decrease for Camry), and its average transaction price of $26,343 is about $2,300 more than its rival from Toyota.
The Fusion's popularity has helped Ford improve its sales in California; the Dearborn-based automaker has a market share of 18 percent in the state, which is just a fraction of a percentage behind Honda. And this popularity should continue as Ford ups Fusion production and expands the model lineup even further for 2014 with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine soon to become an option.
