1972 Ford F100 Ranger XLT!!!

- XLT
-EXCELLENT chrome trim and front bumper.
-GREAT paint job. Not a SEMA winner, but definitely slick. I'd say a couple steps above a simple daily driver.
-Black vinyl bench seat, black carpet, aftermarket radio.
-Good tires.
-Sliding rear window.

-351W motor that runs SUPER smooth with a Holley 4 Barrel. Cranks right up every time. Manual choke lever mounted under dash.
-I believe it's connected to a small block Ford C6. Shifts out perfectly.
-POWER DISC BRAKES up front! Great stopping power.
-Power Steering.
-Under dash factory AC Unit.
-Spray in bed liner.
-The little things work. Headlights, brights, turn signals, cargo light, dome light, under-hood light, horn, radio.
-The exhaust system (glass packs) sounds great! Runs out to long chrome tips!

Stuff that may need attention:
-Not sure the cigarette lighter works
-AC compressor is not there.
-Couple of small leaks underneath. Maybe front seal and rear main seal. May need a trans pan gasket at some point. Just snugged the bolts down a little. Small things!
-REALLY tiny little bubble or two starting to show itself at bottom of doors. Not even broken through paint.
-Under the nice carpet dash cover, you can see a small crack in the dash pad.

This truck is SOLID. The fire engine red paint is great. The chrome trim and bumpers are nice and flashy. The exhaust sounds tough. The steering is nice and tight. She cranks right up every time. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this truck anywhere, but like I always tell people, I would rather you check it all out yourself and get it home before going anywhere. That's what I would do with any old vehicle, just to be safe! I love this truck. If you are looking for a daily driver, head-turning solid truck, then look no further. This one is stellar. Got a couple little things to keep you busy and your wrenches turning, but what old car doesn't! Amazing truck. Get it before it's gone! Check out the video and thanks for looking!!

Winning bidder to work out and cover shipping. I will help with loading up, too. Email with any questions. Truck is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Comes with Bill of Sale. Lower and Fair reserve set.

2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."

Ford issues four recalls covering 163k vehicles

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Recalls! 2014 will be forever remembered as the year that automakers went recall crazy, with millions and millions of vehicles adding up to crush previous recall records well before the end of the year. Adding to that tally is Ford, which announced a call-back for 163,000 vehicles.
Leading that charge are the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engines of the Ford Focus ST and Ford Escape. 160,000 of the 2013 and 2014 models have bad wiring harnesses that can disrupt the signals traveling to the powertrain control module. That, in turn, could lead to a check engine light, reduced power and stalling. Notably, Ford hasn't recalled any other vehicles that feature the 2.0 EcoBoost, such as the Fusion, Taurus or Explorer.
While the Focus ST and Escape constitute the vast majority of recalled vehicles, they aren't the only problem children in the Ford family. 1,300 Transit passenger vans from model year 2015 were recalled due to brake fluid leaks, while another 600 Transit cargo variants were recalled after Ford discovered the windowless sliding doors could come open in the event of a side-impact crash. Dealers will replace the sealing washers on the passenger variants and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo models, The Detroit News reports.
