Hey you F100 fans.  This is one truck you will want to check out.  Two owner rig with the last owner having for 40 years.  He used it only around his small farm to carry grass clippings and pine cones, so put very few miles on it.  The odometer shows 70,xxx miles and previous owner said it is accurate, although the speedo currently is not working. Last year, the automatic transmission was rebuilt and about 10 years ago entire brake and dual exhaust system were rebuilt (receipts attached totaling over $3,500).

This truck has the premium appearance package, custom cab, and a good running 352!  The only rust through the metal that I have been able to see is under the air vents in the cab on both sides (see photos).  The rocker panels appear rust free, as do the floors.  As you can see from the pics, there are a few dents here and there however, overall the truck is very straight.  The windshield is cracked but the rest of the glass is good.  Gas gauge and speedometer do not work.  I haven't tried the lights or heater units to know their functionality.  The grill and bed look nearly perfect!  This baby drives straight down the road...no wandering here.  It brakes very well.  Look at the seat....only a couple small tears!!  Clean Washington State title.

I had plans on building a street rod out of this truck but picked up a '62 Unibody short box to do instead.  This will make someone a great foundation for rodding or restoring!
More pics on request.  No reserve, so don't miss out on one of the best restorable F100s to hit Ebay.

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

Jay Leno takes a Surfin' Safari in a 1937 Ford Woodie Restomod

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Woodie wagons were a major part of surfing culture in the 1960s, offering coastal style and a ton of room, and they even earned a mention in the Beach Boys' classic song Surfin' Safari. This week, Jay Leno's Garage takes a look at two modern, restomodded examples of these style icons.
Unlike a lot of restomods, builder Scott Bonowski keeps these wagons looking almost completely stock on the outside, and all of the upgrades are hidden underneath the timber. You can't tell by looking at it, but the '37 Woodie (pictured above) has independent front and rear suspension, disc brakes and a Ford 5.0-liter V8 under the hood.
Beyond the mechanical aspect, the craftsmanship into the wood is astounding. Bonowski claims there are between 30 and 50 coats of varnish on this wagon. It makes these woodies as much of a piece of fine furniture as a vehicle to drive.
