1965 FORD F-100 Styleside Pickup:

This is an amazingly straight and clean California truck. It has been professionally built and represents over $45,000 in parts and labor. It has been mechanically and electrically refit from bottom up, with the best parts available. I am offering it as it currently sits, so the buyer can have freedom to do the finishing touches in their fashion. I am selling due to lack of any spare time, caused by a new job.

This 1965 F100 is powered by a "no expense spared" FE 428 Cobra Jet engine, which puts out 550+ horsepower and 600ft lbs of torque. All of this power is delivered through a TCI C-6 automatic transmission and 2000 rpm TCI stall converter. Power reaches the rear wheels with a strong 9" rear end, featuring 3.89 Richmond gears and Auburn pro series limited slip Posi traction. This one of a kind engine cost over $25,000 to build, from a "new old stock" 1966 engine block! The engine dynamometer results sheet, is shown in the listing pictures.

This vehicle is mechanically in near mint condition, with only around 100 miles on the engine and components. It can run the quarter mile in mid to high 11 second passes, while also being easily drivable on the street. The project is at a good point, to finish it the way you want. The truck could be finished as a street/show vehicle, by adding turn signals and brake lights, or use it as a race vehicle with your finishing touches. The body is excellent, so a show quality paint job would be possible, with minimum work. The doors shut and close very smoothly. You really have to hear/see this truck to appreciate and understand it's potential. Make sure to read the extensive parts list bellow.

The truck is located in Lantana, 10 min south of West Palm Beach, Florida. You can arrange a visit/inspection, by messaging me.

Saleen previews new 302 Mustang

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The introduction of a new generation of a model like the Ford Mustang may be exciting enough in its own right for enthusiasts, but that's just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, because you know that Ford itself as well as numerous aftermarket tuners will soon follow up with even more desirable versions. And few Mustang tuners carry quite the same clout of Saleen.
Recently reunited after its previous split, Saleen is back on the map and hard at work on new aftermarket modifications for a wide array of muscle cars. We knew it would only be a matter of time before it would release a new 302 Mustang, and now it's sent out the first image to show us what to expect.
Details are scarce, but House that Steve Built says the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang "is perfectly positioned as the next American exotic." And it should know, considering that it's the same outfit that produced the Saleen S7 that really was a true American exotic. From the teaser image above we can see that Saleen has given its Mustang a new front air dam, a very wide air scoop on the hood and of course Saleen's trademark slat grille.

UAW warns automakers: Restarting U.S. plants is 'too soon and too risky'

Fri, Apr 24 2020

WASHINGTON/WARREN, Mich. — The head of the United Auto Workers union on Thursday said it was "too soon and too risky" to reopen auto plants and Michigan's economy in early May, citing insufficient scientific data and coronavirus testing to assure workplaces are safe. The warning from UAW President Rory Gamble on Thursday afternoon came as General Motors Co , Ford Motor Co and Toyota Motor Corp took new steps toward reopening North American vehicle manufacturing operations in an environment where consumer demand is uncertain and worker safety paramount. The union has said that 24 of its members have died from Covid-19, though it was unclear whether they might have become infected in the workplace. Unionized Detroit automakers and non-union German and Asian automakers have been preparing to restart U.S. vehicle making operations by early May. Companies have shifted reopening dates amid uncertainty about government stay-at-home orders. Gamble's statement appeared to derail plans by the Detroit Three to start bringing UAW workers back to vehicle manufacturing jobs on May 4. The longer the automakers cannot produce profitable U.S.-made trucks and sport utility vehicles, the longer they burn cash. The UAW leader's statement was also aimed at Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who has come under pressure from conservative groups and President Donald Trump to ease coronavirus stay-at-home restrictions. "At this point in time, the UAW does not believe the scientific data is conclusive that it is safe to have our members back in the workplace. We have not done enough testing to really understand the threat our members face," Gamble said. "We strongly suggest to our companies in all sectors that an early May date is too soon and too risky to our members, their families and their communities." Gamble said the union was "happy with the auto companiesÂ’ response and cooperation on working through the health and safety protocols we will need in the workplace when it is appropriate to restart." Earlier Thursday, GM began notifying front line managers to come back to work next week to get trained on new safety protocols designed to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus as workers return to plants.
