1964 Ford F100 Long Box Step Side. This has been my truck since I was 18 years old...48 now, and was my daily driver for several years, however it has been sitting for many years now and it's time to sell her. If I remember correctly I stopped driving it in 96 or 97?. I had a complete long block rebuild done on the 292 V8 engine prior to letting it sit forever and probably has about 20,000 on it, ran like a top when I parked it but the gas went bad and I haven't drove it since. It will need I'm sure....new tires, carb rebuilt and new gas lines, brakes, bed slats, head liner, tail light wiring as they were having issues right before I stopped driving it, steering gear box rebuilt if you don't like driving with a bunch of play in the steering wheel - it tracked down the road straight as an arrow but has play in the gear box. The front quarter panel was hit by a school bus driver and she also bent the front bumper bad enough that I pulled it off. I still have the bumper and the original brackets for repair. Body is fairly good condition as you can see from the photos but will need work if you want a cherry old truck. We sanded it all down and had it professionally painted back in 92 but it has been sitting on the street soaking up the hot dry Boise air for that long and when the neighbors kids were going through their rotten teenage years they keyed the truck on one side. Vehicles don't rust here like in the midwest and back east so believe at most it just has some surface rust in areas but to be honest I haven't really inspected it that close. It's an old truck that needs someone that has the time to get everything all fixed up and put er' back on the road. I'm starting the auction out lower than the engine is worth and the buyer is required to come pick it up within 14 days of the close of the auction at their costs. Located in Boise, Idaho. $500.00 due at the close and cash at time of pick up of vehicle...NO CHECKS. Will consider PayPal for the complete amount but will have to clear before the truck leaves the driveway! Thanks and good luck!

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

Ford Australia goes miniature with Beachkhana 1.0 video

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Ken Block's Gymkhana franchise may have started with Subaru, but it's most closely associated with Ford, which the rally star joined way back in 2010. That fruitful partnership has spawned a number of Gymkhanas, and Block even showed up to help introduce the new Focus RS. To honor this, Ford Australia has come up with an adorable parody (for lack of a better word), starring the hero Sun Block. Rather than a full-scale rally Fiesta piloted by a Vegemite-munching Aussie, though, Ford of Oz has gone tiny for its tribute. Really tiny. The product is Beachkhana 1.0 – Wild on the Beaches of Australia, is a funky little stop-motion feature using tiny, 1:43-scale cars in much the same manner as Mr. Block drives his Fiesta rally car. It even pokes some fun at Mercedes-Benz's hilarious Magic Body Control ad. Check it out. Sunday Drive: Rendering the future at Jeep and Ford

Sun, Apr 8 2018

Last week brought us quite a wide variety of automotive news nuggets, and judging by the response of our own readership, the Jeep Wrangler pickup truck led the way. It's not expected to hit the sales floor until April of 2019, which means we've all got an entire year to wait, but that just means we have lots of time to anticipate its arrival. And we do so today with a series of renderings that show what the so-called Scrambler may look like in a few different colors. Another set of renderings depicting a hotly anticipated new vehicle follow just behind. The Baby Bronco – will Ford ante up to the retro-inspired table and call it the Bronco II? – will be one size smaller than the regular-grade Bronco, and we think it'll compete with the Jeep Renegade as a subcompact crossover with some real off-road chops. Moving onto some tuners, both old and new(er), we first present a sweet old Dodge Ram pickup truck tuned by none other than Carroll Shelby himself. The blue and silver striped truck looks so period perfect that it stands out as a star even alongside a quartet of vintage Shelby Mustangs with which it will share space at the Bonhams auction in Greenwich, Conn., this June. And finally we turn our attention to the Hennessey Veliciraptor, an absolute behemoth of a truck. Based on the most excellent Ford Raptor, the Velociraptor ups the crazy quotient with six wheels and 600 hundred horsepower. As always, stay tuned to Autoblog this week for all the latest automotive news.
