For sale here is a 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Baurer Edition SUV. It will be sold with a free 3 month 4500 warranty. Buy may opt to extend this warranty if you desire to do so. We bought this SUV at an auction so knowledge of any past history is very limited. When we drove the SUV back from the auction the transmission was not shifting properly. We check the fluid and found it to be down over 2 quarts. After changing the filter and fluid we road tested the SUV again and the transmission shifted ok. Not sure if low fuild may have caused any issues but the transmission seems to be ok at this point.

We have a clean and clear title to transfer to the owner. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We can and will assist you if needed. But the cost will be solely the buyers.

Please if you end up the winning bidder on this vehicle please call 774 495 0044 within 24 hour to confirm the win and to discuss how payment and pickup will be carried out.

We ask that the buyer have all shipping and payment issues confirmed in advanced. Because once you are the winning bidder we would like payment within 7 days. We talk checks money order wire transfers of cash. Whatever you prefer. As for pickup? We are flexible on this end. We understand that if you are miles away a certain amount of planning must happen to come and get your purchase. We can store your purchase for you for free. Not a problem here as long as it is paid for within 7 days. My feedback is 100% because I'm honest and say it like it is. If you find something that was a preexisting condition and I failed to mention we will take the car sale back and refund your purchase price. Transportation cost or expenses will not be refunded So please plan to come here and inspect this vehicle before you leave with it or have it transported.

Ford previews updated Police Interceptor Utility for Chicago debut

Tue, Feb 3 2015

With more law enforcement agencies across the United States alone than we'd care to count (or ever encounter), selling police cars means big business for American automakers, with Ford, Chevy and Dodge competing to fill the motorpools of every police department, sheriff's office and government agency in the land. For its part, Ford offers the Taurus-based Police Interceptor sedan and the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility, and it's preparing to unveil a revised version of the latter at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show in the same city where it's built. Dearborn hasn't given us much to go on with this teaser, showing just a darkened front shot of the vehicle in question with its emergency lighting all aglow. But it's fairly clear that the Interceptor Utility has been given many of the same updates applied recently to the Explorer on which it's based. That starts with the revised sheet metal, but considering that the Interceptor Utility exclusively packs V6 power, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four that was one of the biggest updates to the civilian Explorer isn't likely to carry over. Ford does, however, promise that the revised Police Interceptor Utility will be "even better" than the model it replaces" and pack "more high-tech features." Related Video:

Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.

Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
