Hello and thank you for viewing my NO RESERVE AUCTION!

This is the smoothest driving and shifting 2005 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 that you will ever drive!  This 8 Passenger SUV has a Clear Title and has had No Accidents!  With only 121,214 miles it is just starting to break in!  It was used mostly on the highway for vacation use.  The 5.4L Triton V8 is known for going over 250,000 miles without any major issues.  This was the first body style Expedition with the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) compared to the previous straight axle designs.  I am the 3RD owner and selling it because I purchased a new vehicle.  All great things must come to an end at some point.  It is the best and most comfortable family vehicle with a tow package-which was not used at all!  It is fully loaded and has every possible option except for the DVD player.  It tackled this winters snow as if the roads were dry, and it did not get even close to being stuck at all!  It is equipped with the better 4x4 system-the Advance Trac.

The OFF ROAD body leveling lift package was professionally installed and is STREET LEGAL!  **It is extremely rare to see this body style Ford Expedition lifted.**  It does not change the drive or the feel of the road compared to stock.  It takes the bumps very smooth as if it were stock!  This is because the shocks and springs were not touched-it just raised the body enough to squeeze 35" Mud Tires in the wheel wells without any rubbing no matter what way the steering wheel is turned and no matter what bump or direction the vehicle travels.  Measuring the fender from stock to after the kit was installed, THIS PACKAGE RAISED THIS EXPEDITION A TOTAL OF 6 INCHES FROM STOCK!  This kit includes:

35" Treadwright Guard Dog Mud Terrain All Season Street Legal Tires 315/70/17

3.5" body lift spacers in the front (on top of the struts)

2.5" body lift spacers in the rear (on top of the struts)

FX-4 OFF ROAD stickers added to each side of the vehicle and the rear tail gate for appearance (This was done after most of the pictures)

Just before this last winter, (about 1,000 miles ago) a major service was performed:

  • New Battery and high amp Alternator were installed
  • Fresh Ford Motor Craft Synthetic oil and filter change
  • Front differential seals and oil was changed with Mobil 1 Synthetic
  • Rear differential oil was changed with Mobil 1 Synthetic and Posi Traction Additive
  • Transmission fluid and filter was changed using Ford Motor Craft fluid and filter
  • Transfer case fluid was replaced with Ford Motor Craft fluid
  • Fuel Filter was replaced using a Ford Motor Craft filter
  • Air Filter was replaced with a Ford Motor Craft filter
  • 8 Spark Plugs were replaced with Ford Motor Craft Platinum plugs
  • 2 Ignition coils were replaced with Ford Motor Craft coils
  • Fuel Injectors were cleaned and serviced
  • Fuel Pump sensor relay was replaced

The engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, and differentials are in excellent shape with no issues at all.

The underbody is rust free-even being in NJ!

The body and paint is in great shape for it's age with minimum wear and tear on it.

All options listed above are in great working condition.

This vehicle is for pick up only and will only be shipped if buyer pays for all costs.  Please pay in full within 48 hours after the end of the auction.

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!

If you have any questions or need additional photos, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for viewing my advertisement and happy bidding!

Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time

Thu, Feb 26 2015

If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid recalled over lack of roof padding

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Ford is recalling 33,021 units of its 2013 C-Max Hybrid not equipped with optional panoramic roof panels. During testing, the model in question returned testing results for occupant head injuries that fell outside of criteria laid out in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. The issue puts occupants at greater risk of injury in the event of a crash if they are in an affected car.
The recall will begin August 19, at which time C-Max Hybrid owners can take their cars to dealers to have energy-absorbent material installed between the headliner and roof. The bulletin below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has more information.

Last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible nets $500k for charity at Barrett-Jackson [w/video]

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
