BID AS HIGH UP AS
YOU ARE WILLING TO SPEND! – This is a truly unique opportunity to own a great
vehicle! Here is your chance to own the best of the
best that I am selling locally and HAS TO GO!! This 2005 Eddie Bauer edition Excursion
demonstrated its virtues of size, stability and power. It has 6.0-liter turbocharged diesel V8 Diesel and five-speed
automatic. Plus this 6.0 has all the engine work done already & equipped with a super chip. Just had it to the Otter Banks…for those of
you that have made the trip know about the hours of sitting in traffic. This Excursion still got 28 MPG…YES
incredible MPG!! Based on Ford's Super
Duty F-Series pickup trucks, it's more than 7 inches longer than the Chevrolet
Suburban. Just some of the
Excursion features are: Reverse Sensing
System, automatic climate control, trip computer, power-adjustable pedals,
auto-dimming rearview mirror, two-tone leather seating surfaces and cherry wood
grain interior accents. Arizona Beige front and rear bumpers, grille, body
cladding and wheel lips provide exterior identity, premium stereo with an
in-dash six-disc CD changer, heated front seats, climate and audio controls on
the steering wheel, Rear Entertainment, Rear Captain’s chairs, Sunroof, along with illuminated running boards. I put on 20 in wheels to add even more eye
appeal to it. In terms of size, the Ford Excursion is the king of big sport-utilities.
Supremely stable at speed, it feels safe and secure on the open highway.
Whether you have a lot of cargo to carry, a bunch of people to transport, a big
trailer to pull, or all of the above, the Excursion is ready for whatever you
throw its way. The Excursion seats eight to nine passengers and it can tow up to 11,000
pounds. It is awesome on the highway and
whenever you want.. Just put it into 4x4 and you enable it to handle hilly roads,
snowy highways, and slippery boat ramps, those places that are accessible in any
heavy-duty Ford pickup!! The Excursion is suited for families who
tow boats, horses or other heavy trailers. Haul anything with this Excursion that
is rated to tow up to 11,000 pounds. Excursion's
rear cargo doors are split three ways. You can swing the glass hatch up for
quick access to gear. Below the hatch is a pair of half-height doors, like
Dutch doors. So they can be opened when you've got a trailer attached, and can
be swung for easier access. This arrangement also offers much better visibility
rearward while driving than the Suburban's full-height split doors yet offers
the benefits of split doors. The seats are comfortable. It doesn't matter whether you're sitting in the
front seats, second row or third row, all of the seats offer generous legroom,
headroom and elbow room. Seven adults can ride in comfort with 48 cubic feet of
cargo space left behind them. For shorter trips, like going to a restaurant,
the Excursion can seat eight people. Set
up as a two-seater, the Excursion can carry an outlandish amount of cargo. A
sheet of plywood slides in easily and lays flat on the floor. Two people could
sleep in comfort on the huge, flat cargo area. No question, the Excursion can
hold a lot of gear. CALL me @ 814-505-3815 OR Locally…STOP BY FOR A TEST DRIVE. Vehicles may have minor road chips, light scratches, wheel
scuffs etc. Normal wear should be anticipated depending on the age and mileage
of the vehicle.. Unless the vehicle has a remaining factory warranty all sales
are AS-IS with no warranty. NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS OR ANY
OTHER MISINTERPRETATIONS. Test drives are welcome in Indiana, PA 15701.. please call or email
for appointment. HAPPY BIDDING!! |

Ford GT inspires objects for Milan furniture show [w/videos]
Tue, Apr 14 2015Can't get enough of the lines on the new Ford GT? Then Milan is the place to be this month. That's where Ford will be presenting a series of objects whose designs were penned by the same talents behind (and inspired by) the company's new supercar. Set to be presented at the Salone del Mobile furniture show in the Italian metropolis, the collection ranges from tables, chairs and light fixtures to a sailboat, foosball table and electric guitar. "We have an incredible amount of talent in our global design studios," said Ford's chief designer Moray Callum. "Salone del Mobile is the perfect forum to share some of that creativity, while also offering our designers an opportunity to get exposure to new ideas that will inspire future Ford design." In addition to these seemingly random objects, Ford has also partnered with architect Attilio Stocchi to create a special light exhibition entitled "Favillia, Every Light a Voice," similarly inspired by the new GT. But if your plans won't be taking you to Milan anytime soon, you can check them out in the images above and the videos and press release below. This content is hosted by a third party. Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. Ford preparing camera-based Front Lighting System
Mon, Jul 20 2015Ford's European Research and Innovation Center in Aachen, Germany is in pre-development on two new lighting technologies that Ford expects to be available "in the near-term." The Camera-Based Advanced Front Lighting System uses GPS and a video camera in the rear-view mirror housing to move the adaptive headlights with the road terrain. When the car detects a roundabout or an intersection, for instance, the light beam widens to offer a bigger view of what's coming from the side. If GPS detected the intersection, the location is tagged so that the beam automatically widens when it is encountered again. The Spot Lighting system uses an infrared camera behind the grille, and is similar to but less complex than systems employed by Mercedes-Benz and Audi. When the infrared camera detects a potential hazard like a person or an animal in or near the road up to 390 feet ahead, it can shine one of two LED spotlights on the danger. A display in the dash cluster will highlight the object with a yellow or a red box, depending on the how close it is and how dangerous it might be. Even though there are only two spotlights, mounted next to the fog lights on the lower front bumper, the system can detect up to eight objects at a time. Don't expect to see these features come to the US, though. Our regulations remain opposed to such headlight trickery, so until that changes, Ford says it's focusing these developments on the European and Asian markets. The video above shows how it works, the press release below has more details. FORD DEVELOPING ADVANCED HEADLIGHTS THAT POINT OUT PEOPLE, ANIMALS IN THE DARK, AND WIDEN BEAMS AT TRICKY JUNCTIONS - Ford is developing advanced lighting technology that enables drivers to more easily see potential hazards when driving at night - Camera-Based Advanced Front Lighting System widens beam at junctions and roundabouts after interpreting traffic signs - GPS-enabled system uses forward-facing camera to remember roadways and direct lighting to help drivers better see bends in the road – effectively lighting the way home on previously travelled routes - Spot Lighting uses infra-red camera to detect pedestrians, cyclists, and animals, and highlight the potential hazards; system can detect up to eight potential hazards and highlight two highest priorities using specially designed headlights and on-screen display AACHEN, Germany, July 17, 2015 – Driving at night, particularly on unlit roads, can be a nerve-wracking experience.
