This Excursion was was done right with Ford oem parts,It drives,handles feels great ,with the upgraded suspension
the ride height is about the same as new 4x4 trucks but done with the right parts for the Best Handling,Simply
lifting Excursions only raises a bad suspension higher (NOT SMART)No exspense spared Adult owned and
maintained.This is my 2nd Excursion I know these vehicles and through research upgraded it the correct way
This is a Florida vehicle so it hasn't seen the harsh environments or driving conditions like many other parts of
the country,No Road Salt etc and Florida is Flat no excessive or extra strain on the Drivetrain
This is an EDDIE BAUER edition Excursion so its loaded with all the options from the factory,all power everything
,6 Disc CD player,rear park sensors, power adjustable pedals,rear air,rear entertainment system,Two tone leather
heated seats,HD Tow Package,I put a complete wood kit in front to rear to match factory pieces as well.VERY CLEAN

Everything i mentioned put into this Excursion and the maintanence can be verified by my mechanic that performed
all the work done
Not another Excursion Listed done this way,The right way with the right parts
The headliner and door panels were removed and soundproofing was put in(I have pictures showing the soundproofing
when it was being done).
All fluids and filters have been replaced,The front and rear diffs with Royal Purple syn gear oil,The transmission
filter and fluid replaced,The radiator flushed and new coolant and distilled water along with Red Line water weter
was put in
I also recently had the u joints,ball joints changed with Dana Spicer parts and the drive shaft balanced as well
The front control arms for the front sway bar are new as well
The Vehicle check shows 4 owners but I am Both the 3rd and 4th owner as I put the truck in different names ive
owned it for almost 4 years i have 3 vehicles and a Harley so it wasn't my only ride and so have only put 17k miles
on it since I bought it,but I did all the forementioned upgrades in the listing though
If you google Ford Excursion Suspension Upgrades you will see through all the Truck Threads what ive done is the
best way to upgrade an Excursion the correct way to have the best ride,handling,etc as the stock set up for this
size truck is inadequate and fails

Detroit automakers keep their masks on to keep the factories running

(AP)  DETROIT — When the coronavirus pandemic slammed the United States in March, the Detroit Three automakers shut their plants and brought their North American vehicle production to an unprecedented cold stop. Now, four months after a slow and sometimes bumpy restart in May, many General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles factories are working at close to full speed, chasing a stronger-than-expected recovery in sales. So far, none of the Detroit Three has had a major COVID-19 outbreak since restarting production, even as the coronavirus is surging in Midwestern and Southern communities outside factory walls. "We have people testing positive, but it's not affecting operations," said Ford global manufacturing chief Gary Johnson. Keeping the pandemic at bay has pushed the automakers and 156,000 U.S. factory employees represented by the United Auto Workers into unfamiliar work routines and extraordinary levels of cooperation among the rival automakers that will have to be sustained for months to come. For automakers, the automakers' COVID response has been as much about instilling new habits as relying on new technology. Workers log their symptoms, or lack of them, into smartphone apps and walk past temperature scanners to get to their work stations. But company and union executives said masks, along with physical distancing, are the key to keeping assembly lines rolling. "The mask is the foundation" of protecting workers on the job, said Johnson. Complaints about masks Autoworkers are accustomed to wearing protective gear such as shatterproof glasses and gloves. Masks that cover the mouth and nose, however, were not standard equipment on auto assembly lines, and were a tough sell at first. "The biggest complaint is wearing a mask," United Auto Workers President Rory Gamble told Reuters. "A lot of our members perform physical tasks. Wearing the mask inhibits breathing." Beyond that, Gamble said, masks and distancing make it harder for workers to have conversations on the job or socialize during breaks. "ThatÂ’s pretty much out the window, and it makes for a longer day," he said. Masks make it harder for co-workers to read each other's expressions — often crucial in the noisy environment of a car plant.

Ford files patent for 11-speed transmission
Sat, Apr 11 2015The automatic transmission seemed limited to three or four gears for decades, and then the automotive world slowly started to see more ratios becoming available. Today, seven-, eight- or nine-speed gearboxes have become rather common. Ford even has an automatic with 10 gears on the way for the future F-150 Raptor. The Blue Oval might not be done yet, though, because the company also now has a patent on an 11-speed box. The filing, which was discovered by AutoGuide, says this idea "produces eleven forward speed ratios and one reverse speed ratio by selective engagement of three shift elements in various combinations," and the company outlines three different ways of making this possible. The advantage of adding one more ratio is that the gearbox should be able to keep the revs in the ideal portion of the engine's torque curve even longer. Obviously, automakers patent ideas constantly, and applying for one is no guarantee that the tech ever arrives on the market. Conversely, these documents provide a tiny glimpse at one of the brand's focuses of development.
