Ok let me start by saying READ THE ENTIRE AD BEFORE YOU BID..

This is a 2000 Ford Excursion with the big ole gas burning 6.8 v10. These things are very big vehicles and can pull just about anything. The engine runs smooth and very strong. The tranny shifts good and pulls great. The 4wd works great and is ready to use. The AC blows cold and all the power windows, seats, and locks work good. It is just a little loose but drives down the road very well. The tires are a matching set of bridgestone and have about 50% tread left. Horn blows, lights work, and it is ready to haul all of your buddies to the hunting lodge. Or haul all the kids to the soccer game. It does have rear air which is a must in one of these huge vehicles.

Now for the bad...

The paint in my opinion is horrible. Someone tried to do a custom paint job and it is a candy red color. Dont get me wrong it looks decent from 20' but the color is very thin in places. The paint however is very smooth and glossy but they painted all the trim and bumpers as well. If you like this then its a wonderful paint job but I think its horrible. The body is very straight and completely rust free so a new coat of paint and your good to go.. Or Camo wrap it and let it fly.
The interior is also in rough condition. The front seats need to be recovered but with that being said. The power seats work great. The middle and third seat need a good cleaning but are in pretty good shape. The carpet needs a good cleaning but its not torn up. Most of the rear air vents in the head liner are missing. But this does not affect the operation of the rear air. The rear barn doors had a big set of speakers in them at one time and the holes are still there.
It needs windshield wipers, and center caps for the wheels. It also will need a radio.

Overall...

Overall the truck runs and drives great but it is no show stopper. The engine runs smooth and quiet and has plenty of power. If you need a good parts donar or if you like to experiment with paint then here is you canvas. If you need one of these big boys to pull a camper and cant afford one of the super nice ones then here you go. I personally own a 02 with the 7.3 that I use to pull a 33' camper and they really do pull great and its alot nicer when your kids take a bunch of buddies on the trip. If you are local please feel free to come see it for yourself. Please keep in mind that it needs TLC. Dont buy it and get it home and say DAMN this thing is ugly.. Well its ugly so you have been told. Please feel free to ask any and all questions before you bid and do not bid with unanswered questions. The starting bid is cheap and it is no reserve so do not bid unless you plan to buy. Yep No reserve so the high bid gets it. Shipping is up to the buyer but I can help load and any assistance I can offer on my end will be there. Local pickup is also available and if you need a ride from the airport we can work that out. Clear title and yes its in hand.

Inside the Ford GT's interior

Mon, Mar 23 2015

Ford has crafted a simple yet high-tech interior for the GT supercar, which has been on display at auto shows around the world this year. The instrument panel has a two-tier design with a floating wing. There are soft-touch materials and carbon fiber, which also is used for the passenger cell. Still, the GT's interior has been shrouded in more mystery than the rest of the car. To cast some light on the GT's cabin, we caught up with Ford design vice president Moray Callum, who explained the ins and outs of the future icon's interior. Put simply, "there's not a lot of excess materials," Callum said. But what is there is pretty cool. In case you haven't heard, Ford plans to launch the GT in 2016. It will run a mid-mounted twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and make extensive use of carbon fiber for the body structure. Related Video:

MotorWeek finds nice things to say about the 1993 Ford Probe

Tue, Mar 8 2016

This latest in MotorWeek's series of Retro Reviews continues its recent trend of remembering the massive glut of sports coupes that hit the market in the '90s. While vehicles like the Mitsubishi 3000GT, Mazda RX-7, and Ford Mustang all enjoy solid reputations down to this day, the 1993 Ford Probe, well... doesn't. As you'll soon see, though, the show's opinion suggests the coupe's second generation isn't really all that bad. Turns out they just weren't particularly sporty. Ford and Mazda developed the Probe together, and the Japanese company supplied both the base 115-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder and the 164-hp 2.5-liter V6 in the GT trim. The original's pseudo-angular look gave way to a much smoother shape for the second generation. Of course, pop-up headlights remained, which were a design hallmark for many of this era's sports coupes. After driving it, MotorWeek proclaims the Probe is "a winner" and considers the handling a "delight." That's not a big surprise, considering that in those days, a car had to be really bad not to get a decent review from Television's Original Automotive Magazine. However, the show hints at some of the reasons the coupe isn't so well remembered today. Even the GT reportedly suffers from soft springs and lots of understeer, which sounds like exactly the opposite anyone hoping to drive the coupe enthusiastically would want. To sum it all up, we're sure you're just as happy as we are that Ford went back on its initial plan to shelve the Mustang in favor of the front-drive Probe. Related Video:

Ford, Samsung shack up to bring regen braking to non-hybrid models [w/video]

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

Ford must be desperate to get itself ready for the beach this summer because it is really trying to get into shape. Shortly after unveiling the Lightweight Concept that cut the weight of a Fusion down to that of a Fiesta, it's now the rest of the line's turn for improvement. The company is wrapping up a 10-year research project aimed at developing next-gen automotive batteries to improve efficiency.
Ford claims that 70 percent of its lineup will have stop/start tech by 2017. The key to this massive proliferation is its new dual-battery system that combines a lithium-ion battery with a lead-acid one and regenerative braking. The setup works by harvesting braking energy and converting it to electricity. When the vehicle stops, the engine shuts off, but the Li-ion battery has enough juice to keep the accessories running. The engine starts up again as drivers take their foot off the brake. The layout would mean less wasted gas while idling. It's already available on Ford hybrids and is somewhat similar to the i-Eloop capacitor-based system from Mazda.
The bigger challenge is tuning the regenerative braking right. While hybrid drivers may be a little more adventurous, when it comes to getting a hang of regen braking, conventional buyers might not be so open-minded. The systems have a tendency to be a little grabby at first and then taper off at very low speeds. Ford needs to make sure it's just right to avoid turning off buyers.
