Very nice 2004 Excursion that is 100% mechanically sound! Exterior looks almost perfect with minimal wear and tear. Paint and trim shines like new. There is a small dent in rear bumper and 2 small dents on roof that you cannot see unless you climbed up to look for them. Tires are better then 90% with a brand new spare tire. Interior is in very good condition except for scuffs in rear interior panels, steering wheel has wear but has a nice cover, nothing major just want to disclose. Driver seat has little wear and other seats are like new. Truck drives straight, shifts on point, and runs like a car with 50000 miles. NO JOKE! Maintenance has been meticulously done with only synthetic oils since first oil change and it shows with the performance. I encourage anyone interested to come see for themselves. Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
