If you are in the market for a clean SUV and would love to save a lot of money on gas then you are going to LOVE my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid 4X4 that gets 28mpg in the city! It's hard to get good gas mileage from most SUV's especially 4X4's so to get 28mpg is really rare. This Escape was owned by a friend of mine and it has been fully serviced and is an accident free vehicle that has spent most of it's time here in Florida and it shows, there is no rust and even the underside is still nice and clean. It has brand new tires all around, is a non-smoker's suv and it is clean as can inside and out. The exterior looks great with no dents, scrapes or rust. The factory aluminum wheels are sporty and again there are BRAND new tires to help give it a smooth and quiet ride. There is a roof rack and a small hitch that looks to have never been used, which is nice. The interior is spotless and there are no stains, rips or odors. The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of head and legroom both front and rear and a good sized hatch area that too is spotless. All the power options work great including the ice cold air conditioning, navigation system and cd stereo. What a pleasure to drive! The peppy Hybrid engine runs smooth as silk and again Carfax shows lot's of general maitenance has been performed. It is rated at 28mpg in the city which is great for a suv or even a car. The brakes are nice and smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles. The 4X4 is always there should you need it, which is nice to know. I have the factory books and a key with remote. Look it over good and I am sure once you see and take it for a spin around the block you are sure to fall in love and in this shape you will love it for a very long time. KBB values this Escape at $7471 and more retail so this is your chance to own a really clean one for less! Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit can haul on the track

Line up any two comparable vehicles, and eople are going to want to race them. Need proof? In its latest track battle, Auto Express wants to know which commercial vehicle can lap a circuit faster - a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Let's face it, neither of these European vans were ever meant to be near the track unless they are delivering a racecar and a ton of parts for a fun weekend, but it's massively fun to watch them give it a go anyway.
The one thing that Auto Express really illustrates here is the modern marvel that is stability control. The driver hops curves, and these big vans lean in the corners like your friend walking home from a long night at the bar. However, because of the amazing stability systems, the vans mostly keep all of their wheels planted and never seem close to getting sloppy, despite their behemoth size.
Unfortunately, the two vans aren't exactly fairly paired. The Ford has a dual rear axle and a few other advantages over the Mercedes, but it's still hilarious to watch them go. Even better, the host breaks down everything happening behind the wheel like these commercial vehicles were two Porsches. Enjoy watching this very unorthodox battle between Ford and Mercedes.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.

The Ford Mustang is a brilliantly affordable source of horsepower, with a base 300-plus-horsepower version available for well under $30,000. Jumping up to about $35,000 will get you a solid 420 horsepower from a high-revving V8, while those with some extra disposable income can get a pair of 600-plus-horsepower monsters. Both the Roush Stage 3 with its Phase 3 package and Ford's factory Shelby GT500 even crest the 650-horsepower mark, with 675 and 662 ponies, respectively.
Naturally, someone needed to find out which of these hi-po Mustangs was the quickest. And while this video is quite obviously a dealership commercial, at least there's some solid drag racing between two of the most powerful performance machines available for under $100,000.
